How many of you guys actually play an instrument? which ones

Just wanted to do a short poll on what instruments you guys all play. I'll start:

I play Piano Guitar and Bass, and have a fantasy of being a capable drummer some day.

Though I use the word "play" loosely, as I am not a virtuoso by any means. I can however play in most keys without too much trouble, though I mainly just play chords on guitar as opposed to riffs.

I took piano lessons for 2 years as a kid and started relearning about 5 years ago. I had a guitar for about 4 years and it just collected dust until about a year and a half ago when the concept of playing it finally sunk in... I have played the bass for about 1 year now. Before that I would sort of play keys but mainly just used loops to make music.

i can play the guitar, but i am not a guitarist .. i can play the piano, but i am no a pianist .. i can play the bass but i am not a bass-player .. etc. .. most of all i´m a computerist.

I play guitar, bass, and keys (in order of expertise or lack thereof), if by "play" you mean "able to at least appear competent in the eyes of the inexpert".

I play the guitar fairly OK (or I like to think so). My keys skills only shine somewhat with many overdubs quantising and pianoroll edits. Like to play the strings with keyboards. Synths all go in by the mouse, which I am pretty skilled at playing/clicking. I enjoy drumming away on my percussion pads but is not too good at it yet. I used to play the harmonica. Lost mine years ago and never bothered replacing it. At some time long ago I used to do the bass guitar on occasion only.

Play or play well?

I play many: piano, guitar, organ, harmonica, accordian, zither, harp, recorder, pennywhistle, and several percussive instruments (tamboa, djembe, marimba, maracas, etc)

Play well, I suppose is another matter. I took piano and organ lessons, suppose I play those the best.

I'm with Putte on this a bit, I'm mostly a computerist these days, and consider Audiomulch my primary instrument, although I love playing them all.

Make more noise more often, I say.

The ones I can appear to be fairly compentent at to the casual listener are drums and guitar.My bass playing's OK,and my weakest link is my keyboard playing.
Synthesizers are real and valid instruments,though-I never get this "What real instruments do you play?" trip.Above all,I suppose I'm a synthesist-and I'm good at that

I've been learning piano for 8 years. The first 6 years classic, then two years jazz.

I'm not that bad despite my bad timing, but this is also because i don't quantize and i never record a take more than once.
(But maybe i'll have to in the future... )

No other instruments at all.

I can play the violin pretty well. I can play keyboards well enough to play stuff in rather than use the mouse for MIDI entry.

I'm gonna get to the guitar, bass, and drums eventually.

I'm a drummer first, but also play a little guitar (it's a mandolin!), a real guitar, and can play a keyboard when pushed.

I used to have a piccolo and flute, but could never quite get to grips with them.
