Alternative to ALK2? by zen audio

So I watched a few videos of the product...


And thought it would be perfect for me. Problem is the thing won't activate for the trial and I've seen many people with issues.

As I can't get it to operate I'm looking for an alternative daw based on the same construct.

Any ideas?
