anyone having trouble with the forum again at presonus? some of us are caught in an infinite loop. that stupid blue bar wanting you to click to prove you are human sends us to our account page... you log in then you go to the bottom and click community forum it carries you back to the forum but that bloody blue bar is still there again although you are logged in lol
i cannot contact admins at forum due to the blue bar thing but i have started a support ticket... but it will probably be forever til they get to my ticket due to the v5 release. if anyone still has access to the forum please post in the main community help up top and let them know it has screwed the pooch again. tell them jBranam sent ya lol maybe Matt or one of the other admins can try and get it sorted. have tried on three browsers and have reset cookies multiple times to no avail. cheers
jay
p.s. it started yesterday and i have others sending me emails asking about it. any help would be appreciated

Just wanted to say hi to jBranam, it's been like 3 years...
Honestly, I'm surprised the forum is still there... They gonna have you signing up to the Sphere to have you communicate with one another lol. Maybe even charging people to use their existing forums... Going the same way as Avid.. which is pretty scary.

lol... hi... not me lol... not going near sphere and that BS. i ain't even upgraded yet... gonna wait til black friday maybe or when it is half off. not enough in v5 for me to pay $150. only thing i care about is listen bus, mix state and poly touch.
but as for the forum over there it ain't only me having probs. they've had it mussed up a while back but it settled down but now it seems it is foul again.
anyways... figured i would give it a go over here to see how bad it is or get someone to send word. reckon i will wait on support to tell me it is my problem lol cheers

Gave a long lowdown about what I thought about S1 5.0 about 10 pages back... I wasn't exactly impressed either... Got the feeling they were trying to oversell something....MadDogE134 wrote: Fri Jul 17, 2020 2:29 am lol... hi... not me lol... not going near sphere and that BS. i ain't even upgraded yet... gonna wait til black friday maybe or when it is half off. not enough in v5 for me to pay $150. only thing i care about is listen bus, mix state and poly touch.

Right now, I'm too busy with my own Studio One content based website, and jumping through my own hoops, see thread a few posts down.

Anyone else getting constant crashes in the new version when recording with a Multi-instrument? For me, it literally crashes every minute or two. It does seem specific to the Multi-instrument mechanism. If I record with a synth on its own, it will be fine. Then if I insert it into a Multi-instrument, even on its own, the crashes start appearing.

I bought version 5 from a user around here. Didn't had Studio One for myself, only at the studio. I would say, for an upgrade, it's only worth if you really really need those new features, cause there are not a lot of them, but I guess we'll see more features added in version 5.1, as it was with 4.1.
What I like the most in this version is the listen bus for room correction software (works with 2 outputs interfaces, if anyone is curious), mixer scenes and the new reworked plugins, in this order.

Hopefully Presonus will fix the Track-Delay problem in Studio One Pro 5 ASAP. This is badly needed for some Sample Libraries to sound right, especially Legato articulations. For more details about this issue, watch this video.

This issue was reported a year ago so i dont think theyre in a great hurry to fix it.Muziksculp wrote: Sat Jul 18, 2020 9:14 pm Hopefully Presonus will fix the Track-Delay problem in Studio One Pro 5 ASAP. If I had to guess it will probably get addressed due to renewed attention. A few people I know didn’t even consider Studio One because of the lack of a Keyswitch system. Now that it has one, the second thing they noticed is that for some libraries the negative offset issues get in the way.jkez wrote: Sun Jul 19, 2020 8:36 amThis issue was reported a year ago so i dont think theyre in a great hurry to fix it.
It’s unfortunate that it works like that but features can attract people to the DAW and bugs usually get fixed for people using the DAW.

The irony - they add a bunch of composer-related features...and still have a deal breaking bug for composers given many sample libraries (especially for strings) require a track delay. You can nudge the MIDI but most of us prefer track delay as you can easily turn it off and on when needed.
