Hello all. Im searching for a string library with different articulations, like pizzicato, staccato, sustain and falls ( the famous disco string sound you can find on le freak by chick).
I've made some google searches and all i could find were several gigabyte libraries that depended on kontakt player. first of all im not that fond of kontakt, and second, i would prefer a sample library to be 4 GB max (less would be better). It can even be some akai library, i have the tools to convert it to sfz or other formats. i just dont want it to bloat my hard drive and my ram.

Multiple articulations means multiple GBs usually...
Past to Future Samples just put out their Motown Strings. It's also in Kontakt format, but small and reasonably priced. PTFS are usually very nice sounding. You could ask them if the WAV's are unlocked and usuable in other sampler formats..
