Logic X and Omnisphere

That's easy.

Mulab and XILS 4 :borg:
Sound C loud
Band C amp
Clicks and pops is all I get

Probably Logic and Serum (and I don't even have Logic)! It comes with a lot of stuff...

- Ableton Live 10 (without its synths) and Arturia DX7 V (or CZ V).
Or:
- Ableton Live 10 Suite (with its synths) and Arturia Minibrute 2 (bass and leads). This is my default setup actually. I add to it sometimes polyphonic synths like Diva, RePro 5 or Obsession for pad chords mostly.
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

For versatility and sound repertoire of included instruments, even as a happy S1 user from the get go, I'd say Mixcraft 9, and add Diva.

Again, this concept is compromised by Logic and Reasons included plug ins, and that some DAWs offer Suite or Pro versions and others do not.

It's hard not to choose Logic and Reaktor in terms of bang for the buck, but I enjoy Digital Performer and Falcon more, and Bitwig plus Diva covers a lot of territory with the Grid etc.

It depends on the style.
For Neo soul/r&b: Logic Pro X + Arturia Analog Lab 4
For Trap: Logic Pro X + Omnisphere

I chose Logic because I've been using it for over sixteen years. I'd still have chosen it if it came with no instruments. I also avoided suggesting Reaktor, because it would seem to fail the "1 xtra synth" criterion ;)

I went with DAW and synth that I actually use too, stuff on the paper doesn't do much for me in the practice.

studio one and Union (soundspot)

Logic Pro X.

That's it. It has the best selection of professional Plugins of all DAWs. No need to buy anything, unless you want to.

Cubase and Synthmaster

Going to have to change my answer. I did chose Logic Pro and Omnisphere. However, that would leave me without a dedicated full-MPE synth.

So, I'll instead go with Logic Pro and Equator :tu:
