That looks pretty bizarre from here. Bunch of clowns? :clown:

Post

Yeah, strange. Maybe not a native English speaker as phrasing is weird?

I used to use DV247 years ago when they had stores, but not since. Now I typically use Juno or Andertons.

DV247 give quotes including shipping, that’s why they’d ask for your address. They’re a trustworthy company, we’d use them and Turnkey for our equipment and media at a studio I used to work at.
Never had a single problem.

What’s the issue?

Where did he ask for a quote?

I don't think Turnkey are around any more either? This must have been years ago, before the buyout/merge/??? with musicstore.de.

Wow, spent way too much at Turnkey/Soho sound house. There was another, Eastbourne?, Emis? Always seemed to have great clearance deals.

I used to use DV247, when they had a store in Barnet and occasionally for delivery items. As others have said, they now are owned by Musicstore.de and most items ship from mainland Europe.

This year I've been ordering from Gear4Music, who have been very reliable in my experience. I bought a Minibrute 2S which had a faulty switch on it and the return/replacement was pretty flawless.

The other store that I've ordered from this year was PMT, back in April. Unfortunately, the "in-stock" item that I ordered wasn't and I was eventually given a delivery date sometime in July. It took far longer than I wanted to get the order cancelled and refunded, although they came through in the end.

So for me, Gear4Music are the winners here, with decent communication even during the pandemic.

Emis were the original UK Doepfer place, back in the days before Eurorack became a thing. They're basically closing down to repairs only, now, the guy is semi-retiring.
Bit of a shame, TBH. It was always sort of old-fashioned, right down to the Doepfer's Owners Club thing they did; I kinda liked that.
An idiot on Set Theory:

I nearly got into the Doepfer stuff when I was first getting into making music. Fortunately I discovered I'm crap at making music and stuck to drums before spending the kind of money it was possible to spend. Nice keyboards - I drooled over the LMK4+ for ages... Then got my TrapKAT.
