Setup XY Pad in Cubase with Sensel Morph (or other XY controllers)... possible?

The Sensel Morph arrived yesterday and have been taking it through the paces. I’ve set it up successfully, adjusted the piano template to make all sliders, imported a few others from the forum on the innovators – got all the basics down I think, normal operation and assignments is pretty straightforward.

However… I cannot figure out how to make an XY pad work in Cubase. I’m not sure how to go about it truthfully even having setup everything I've normally setup (I have other midi controllers but none have an XY pad, which is one reason I went with the Morph).

I’m able to setup the quick controls one for X, one for Y for the synth itself, set the track for Any midi input, check the MPE checkmark. But can’t seem to figure out how to make the Morph talk with Cubase for an XY track pad.

Anyone go down that road before or have some advice/links/tips? I'm also open to suggestions for other apps/daws etc that handle Midi, MPE, and Automation seamlessly with maximum compatibility.

Edit 2 days later: I've learned that no one knows how to setup an MPE XY pad in any DAW, I'm getting close though. MPE is still quite convoluted in DAWS despite it being around awhile now, I'm glad I didn't spend a bunch on a Roli or Linnstrument, this Morph is perfect for what MPE is capable of right now.

The X & Y are there by definition.
aka Horizontal and Vertical: H gives you pitch bend, V is for CC74 which to eg., ROLI system tends to open up a filter, the og MIDI spec reads ”brightness”.
MPE is about pitch, that, release velocity and pressure.

In Cubase 9 or 10 the Morph is recognized as an MPE controller, and defaults are supplied. Studio Setup.
Earlier versions, donno.

If by X/Y you mean more than H & V, I have no idea.

I just got mine Monday, but every tute has people getting the functionality by default.
It so far is not good for drumming, but fine, MPE it is.

Its been a crazy journey... and like so many jaunts prior I eventually figured out a work around, and if I can figure out how to negate the work around I'm likely to get another Morph -- while the Morph has some limitations it's one of those devices that allows so much raw experimentation with device integration it may be the most ideal piece of hardware for me.. in years.
