Got shipping confirmation on my E520!

And the Sweet 16 is on its way from Spain.

I've switched into "shake it up" mode with my modular again. Once I've settled in with the incoming stuff, I'm going to be trying more new things:

First up is Intellijel Shapeshifter. I ignored it all this time because the 2-line LCD and little mode buttons and mention of "presets" made me think of a couple of desktop synths I didn't get on with, I guess. But I "discovered" it this week and now I have to try it -- wavetable-based complex oscillator with TZFM, and a bunch of other features? Oh yes.

I'm also gassing for a Verbos Harmonic Oscillator. If I wind up loving Shapeshifter as much as I hope, I can imagine replacing my beloved E352, Hertz Donut mk2 and Akemie's Castle with those two instead.

I'm thinking about comb filters/resonators. Both E520 and Shapeshifter have them, but I may find for more involved physical modeling stuff I might want a dedicated one. So there's the possibility of a Rossum Morpheus, or IME Bionic Lester mk3, in the back of my mind.

And I still want the Waver. Nothing tricky about that so I'll probably just buy it.

it is indeed a tempting little module!
im resting on purchases for a little, while i get to grips with tides, as well as deep diving a little more with marbles.

urs said cvlization is almost ready too, so thats also on the list when i do buy again.

i should also say, the spa makes the grandpa so much more fun. having all the parameters hooked up, lots more variety in the output

There was a pre-Kickstarter order period for a few days which I got it in on, then a Kickstarter campaign (which sold 216 units), then another period of non-Kickstarter preorders. Once all these ship, I don't know if there's going to be another production run for retailers or what. (I hope so, because that could mean more support for the module, more algorithms etc.

My Bastl MicroGranny portable granular sampler arrived, it's a lot a fun.
Nice to have a convenient way to add [mangled] vocal sounds to my monosynth mayhem. Any tips on learning cats to meow on cue?

Ok thanks, I hope they make some more too. I can understand why they do the kickstarter thing,
I had time to get it, no doubt. Unfortunately, lotta times when that kind of thing comes up,
I don't have the money or sufficient interest until later. Anyway, it's cool that companies
can do that, as it gets stuff made that otherwise wouldn't be, but it also sucks in a way,
for those who can't get on board for whatever reason.

Mostly, I was already backing 2 separate KS projects at the time, which I've kinda set as my limit.

Finally...

First sounds, just a simple pattern from the 1601 sequencer. Need to work out some gain staging issues but it sounds damn good, I think. I still can't believe it's real.
