He let Gary borrow his Les Paul. When it came time to give it back he asked Gary if he'd like to buy it. Gary said he'd love to but he couldn't afford it (words to that effect anyway). So he said to Gary, sell yours (your cheapo guitar) and give me the cash, in exchange for it. And the rest as they say is history, except for one thing, I believe that twat from Mehtallica owns it now. Not because he deserves it. But because he has lots of money.
