Ableton: how to get instrument rack to play in D

If i build a instrument rack with a few sounds and i map this to my akai drumpad, how do i tune everything to D instead of C like the default.
My first thought is to put in pitch from midi effects in ableton and tune it there, but is there an easier way? not that thats hard, but seems to me it should be something simpler

That's the easiest way I can think of. There are pitch effect plugins you can buy (maybe a free one out there, or a Max for Live one?) that would probably just get the same results pitch-wise (but maybe somewhat different sound).
