Markus reads and responds on their forum daily. Here, very very sporadically.
Nothing at all wrong with posting it here, but you are way more likely to get a response, even more so a timely response on their forum.
So Examigan, I believe was suggesting that it may be more 'efficient' to ask there. He was I believe just trying to be helpful.

On topic, i too would only want a WT editor with a synth attached, even if it was really basic. Some way to hear what is going on.

You can post them here, but Markus can choose not to answer at all. Tone2 has it's own forum. Well, sure. I agree. But maybe some people don't want or can spend that amount of money. So maybe that can be a reason. Right?pdxindy wrote: Wed Jul 29, 2020 1:12 pmBut wouldn't they then need to export the wavetable, import it into their synth, listen to it, go back to the standalone editor, make some changes, export again and so on? Seems so clumsy. No way I would want a standalone editor sans synth, but hey, to each their own.exmatproton wrote: Wed Jul 29, 2020 7:37 amMaybe somebody wants a good wt editor, but has a synth already. So..a lower price for a wt editor could be the reason for somebody to buy that, instead of icarus.pdxindy wrote: Wed Jul 29, 2020 6:29 am
But why would someone get a standalone wavetable editor? Just get Icarus. Then you also get a synth so that you can listen to the wavetables you are making as you are making them. I wouldn't want a wavetable editor without a synth attached to it to hear to what I am doing.
I don't need a stand alone WT editor btw. But i can see that some people would like it and would use it. Especially when it is much cheaper compared to a full blown synth

When you have brainless people making comments, it is logical that someone brilliant like Markus, does not answer what you and others comment on this blog, I will listen and go immediately to the Tone2 blog while you continue to suck on this one.

If I use samples, when I save the preset, is it also saved together with the sample or just a direct link to the sample used? I ask you why I need to share some sounds with an music engineer in Germany, can I send him the complete folder of user presets and sounds when he calls them from his Icarus, will the samples respond too? or will he say 'missing sample - not found' ? Thank you!
you don't have to worry about missing samples. This can't happen in any Tone2 synth. The fxp file is in chunk-format and always contains all data necessary for the patch.

Markus

@Markus, can we expect updates to Nemesis and Saurus with resizable UI, as done with Gladiator, RayBlaster, Electra 2 and (obviously) Icarus 2?
Also, do you have any upcoming soundsets coming out in the near future?

Saurus with a big GUI is possible from the technical side. Nemesis is also possible, but i need to re-render the interface. Not sure if i can still find all necessary 3D files.starflakeprj wrote: Thu Jul 30, 2020 2:48 pm @Markus, can we expect updates to Nemesis and Saurus with resizable UI, as done with Gladiator, RayBlaster, Electra 2 and (obviously) Icarus 2?

This month we released the Big-Room & EDM soundset for Icarus2.
Next month there will be a Trap soundset for Electra 2.x.
In October there will be another soundset for Icarus2. Most likely an atmospheric one.
Have a nice weekend,
Markus

Regarding the larger GUI's, let's hope you you can find the 3D files and that you have the energy and motivation to re-render them. Would be very appreciated. You did a great job with RayBlaster.

This is the most efficient way to implement presets/samples and one of the many smart ideas in the design of this synth.Markus Krause wrote: Thu Jul 30, 2020 7:30 amHello Chippy,Chipi wrote: Wed Jul 29, 2020 6:00 amHi, Markus,Markus Krause wrote: Thu Nov 14, 2019 4:45 pm Additional outputs for the drums will not be added to v2.0 because it either breaks downward compatibility or crashes various hosts:
