If there's a web api and anyone knows it, I would be glad to add a stage at the end of our pipeline to send it our windows executables. Or guide a developer on how to do that. (Or if you can just give me a CURL command I can call that).

Are you sure that Jonas isnt working on it anymore? Wanted to try Helix again & downloaded from his Site; Built says May 2020 & Eula is from 2019. Not sure, it still looks the same somehow, also works pretty fine & a purchase version still available. Anyway a little OT; Yet, also might be not.

Maybe we're just looking for him on the wrong platform.EvilDragon wrote: Thu Jul 30, 2020 4:28 pm Yeah that one part is weird. But still a hello f*k you I won't do anything like that would be nice.![]()

Have you heard anything about NI replacing older iso version installers with zip versions in some of their installation processes? I realize some of the new products and K6 are aleady downloaded as zip archives. Curious, as such a change would simplify installing NI products across platforms.EvilDragon wrote: Thu Jul 30, 2020 4:28 pm Yeah that one part is weird. Yeah some things are changing there gradually, I think.

EvilDragon wrote: Thu Jul 30, 2020 12:58 pm Aaaaand I've just managed to fix that bug. It also says things more nicely - instead of 0-3, it will say Subtype 1-x in the menu!
I will see if I can actually make it explain the subtype based on filter type... it might be tricky.
Yeah, that looks nice. Definitely the way to go!
Oh and as to the rightclick, in my previous post i said 'when visible' but i just found out that thats not actually correct. As a matter of fact the hotspot there responds to rightclick even when the button is invisible, you can check that by selecting Off or S&H and then rightclicking the spot where the button would normally be. (Not sure if its of any real consequence but i thought id mention it anyway.)
Also my sincere thanks to everyone involved in this, its great to see a fantastic synth evolving like that rather than being tossed in the bin only because its not brandnew anymore.

Again a nice catch - we will fix it! EDIT: It's already fixed
Also, with a bit of guidance from baconpaul, the subtype menu now actually does show clear entries based on filter type you selected, so that you actually get a clue about what each subtype is/does.
ENV1, you're welcome to make a skin for it, I know you have the chops

No problem!EvilDragon wrote: Again a nice catch - we will fix it!
Heh, funny you would say that because yesterday i actually looked into it. Thing is im a bitmap guy with very little experience in the SVG realm, and to be completely honest what i saw in the embedded resources did my head in. I assume that most of the data in there were somehow related to scaling, (there is a lot about gradients and stuff in there), but i saw no image positions or even references to any images, so i more or less gave up on the idea.EvilDragon wrote:ENV1, you're welcome to make a skin for it, I know you have the chops![]()
But there is some hope yet. Because on one of the webpages there was a note that said 'documentation forthcoming', (something to that effect), so im going to wait for that and see if it tells me more than i know now. If it turns out that i can work with it after all, what i would like to do is not only re-skin the current UI, but actually make a whole new UI (i.e. change the entire layout) where everything is generally larger and doesnt have so many small glyphs like the filter selectors and all the other rather small elements. To be honest im not very confident that i will be able to do this, (it would be no problem if the UI were bitmap based), but i will at least give it a try, see what i can do.

inkscape import bitmap
Search google results. Inkscape is free artist tool with bitmap tracing and vector exports. I'm no artist, but there are enough tutorials to do many basics, and you probably have climbed most of the learning curve already using other software.
Trace your created bitmaps, export in the vector format used in Surge
Cheers

Bitmap support is still inside the codebase but commented out. It doesn't allow continuously variable zoom levels with any degree of quality, but for 1.7.2 it will be reinstated and things will be limited to fixed zoom levels then (i.e. 100%, 150%, 200%, 300%, 400%, that's it). Of course that would require separate assets for each zoom level.

The SurgeEffectsBank VST3 in the 64bit 1.7.0 windows installer appears to be 32bit instead of 64bit. Is anyone else getting the same issue?

That's disappointing. I find 100% too small, but 150% is too big.EvilDragon wrote: Thu Jul 30, 2020 10:11 pm Bitmap support is still inside the codebase but commented out.
