Hi
I use the transient preserve feature in Ableton Beat Warp mode for shortening the hits of a loop to have different sonic results etc which I like a lot. Is there a similar function in Logic or in a plugin form? I just tried noise gate but does not give the same result.
Thanks
A.

Hey Andy,
I've never really used that function in Live, so I'm not sure exactly how it works there, but have you tried Logic's Enveloper plugin ?
It's under Dynamics-> Enveloper.
Hopefully this helps.

Thank you for the suggestion.
Yes I have tried it and also a couple of other transient designers but even with the sustain all the way down it does not gate the transients as tight as Live's function. Live shortens the space between transients all the way down to just attacks. For instance a ride cymbal can sound like a closed hi-hat. I put an example from Live.

With transient designers there is still audible material left in between.
Thank You
