Liquid Music 1.7 looks interesting. A price under $75 or Version 2 will get my heart beating.

Yes. $99 is too rich for my blood.

Hi!

Someone mentioned the Evolution Sequencer player for reason earlier.... it’s killer and tons of fun to get usable riffs. I finally got reason lite 11 (to get the rack) from that plugin boutique promo a few weeks back.

As I mentioned earlier, I love max for live devices and my two fave developers are J74 and K-Teck. K-Teck just released a sequencer in the vein of that evolution sequencer. It’s definitely worth the money!

I’ve jumped on the Studio one bandwagon and have been trying to find duplicates of my fave max for live devices (not really possible!). If I disable rewire in studio one, I can run ableton live along side studio one in ‘ ‘full mode’ (Not crippled rewire mode). I can pipe audio into S1 with a combo of asio4all and ‘hi-fi audio cable’ (VB Audio) and midi sync using LoopMidi (virtual midi cables). There is latency between the two, but you can just record the midi into S1 and tighten it up there.

Which one is it?

Edit: Oh, must be "Iosif: Interference Pattern Step Sequencer" (https://k-teck.co.uk/). I got mixed up with K-Devices.

Yes, that’s the one! Sorry, I’m on my phone I didn’t get all the links, so thank you!

That’s great. I’d been interested in that for ages, but heard some issues around updates/support which put me off buying it, but I’ll definitely dig in now.

I saw a comment from 2017 saying it didn't work properly in
Ableton. I downloaded it to see. It did send midi to channel one of an instance of contact, but, after setting up layer 2 to output to midi channel 2, layer 2 still sent midi to midi channel 1. I'll give it a go again some time, but maybe they never fixed it to work properly in Ableton (hence it's free?).

In a 6-12-20 reply to me they stated that "it should be out within the next 1-2 months".
So I assume it should be out by this August.

August is here but we have the whole month to wait and see.
See what? Liquid Notes version 2 (just guessing) if so, could be very interesting?

Definitely not I am afraid :-(. There will be no devellopment in function, only adepting to WA and if I remember well what the develloper told me (more then half a year ago now again....) some adeptions on OS. And if you look on all the other RE products they have relaunched on WA so far: no content devellopment at all :-(. I doubt that will ever happen (how many WA products have EVER been devellopped ? They buy and sale.....).

Another thing: does anyone knows if there are any presets with stochas ? I did not find any and just not willing to start from scratch again with this one, looks really complicated.

Disappointed! :(
But I will survive!

Guilty as charged though I'm now using VCV Rack to create generative stuff and it's next level. There are dozens and dozens of modules for creating randomness and best of all the vast majority are free to use. Add to that there are some cheap VCV modules that let you output directly to MIDI instruments and effects and it's all gravy. There are some limits though, you can run out of CPU fairly quickly once you start piling the modules up, but I recently discovered how to save the audio out to Reaper (I believe Ableton Live is almost as easy) by using ReaRoute and you can just start bouncing parts out to audio to save processor.
