I've created a GitHub organization for open-source SFZ instrument projects at https://github.com/sfzinstruments

I've uploaded a few of the more recent free Karoryfer instruments there, and the plan is to also store others there as well, but before I go too far, can someone download the Gogodze Phu ones and just verify that they can be installed and work OK?

Direct ZIP links to those:

Sounds good.

Cool, thanks! And of course if you are aware of any other SFZ instruments that are open source, lemme know and we'll try to get permission from their creators to put them there as well.

There's my lot of mappings, here, but I never hosted the samples (at the time I didn't have the hosting space, so I didn't bother to get permission for anything other than the mappings). And a lot of them have had other mappings done since (mine are almost all SFZ 1, too, and most so old they may not work in Sforzando).

And I suppose some of the samples might no longer be available in their original locations? Would be good to ask permission for hosting, if you still have the contacts for those instruments' creators, but if nothing else we could always make a repo for just the mappings.

SFZ1 mappings should work fine in Sforzando, the format should be backward-compatible.

In the meantime I've uploaded all the free SFZ Karoryfer stuff I made (so no Marie Ork cause that's a different tech, no Ludwik Zamenhof or Nathan Sheeran samples yet - I need to talk to those guys) so https://github.com/sfzinstruments is now about 20 repositories.

Musical Artifacts has alot of sfz instruments, many of them are open source:

Thanks, will take a look at those later and see if we can get permission to put them on Github. One thing about SFZ is that there are a lot of scattered resources out there, and putting more in one place might make it a lot easier for developers.

Nice!
