When I play a chord on my controller in Logic the chord played is displayed next to the time, but when I play an individual note, it doesn't.

As a way of learning, I'd like to see both the note or notes I am playing as well as what chord I am producing. It'd be a terrific way to detect the unique traits of various types of chords and help me learn the structure too.

Does anything like that exist (or, if there is a way to do it natively in logic)?

As an example, if I played a C major chord, the display would show "C, E, G -- Cmaj" or similar in real time. Doing it for a selected track during playback would be awesome, too.

I had thought the same, that I'd be great to see the chords produced from playing individual notes. It would need to know when to start and stop accumulating notes so it could look up the chord. Either controlled by sections lengths, or manually by clicking. I can't think of any plugins, just the ChordwarePA standalone (windows) which can do that for midi input.
