It's really cool that this synth is still being developed, I'm wanting to start doing graphics again and a skin for this might be a good project for me. I like the changes that have been made but there is one thing that needs fixing pretty badly, when in legato mode only envelope one seems to not re-trigger. I didn't try it in all the different routing configurations but that really shouldn't matter. I know there are some situations where you might want some envelopes to re-trigger on a legato sound but those are kind of special case times. Just my 2 cents here but I think this should be an option in that handy menu button you have on each envelope section. I rarely use the same envelope settings for filter and amp.. especially on legato sounds. I imagine most people are this way. I really love the design of this synth and it has the framework for nice little tweaks like this to be made easily. Also it kind of makes me sad that envelope settings still haven't made it in as destinations for the mod matrix. With just a couple changes the usability of this synth could increase tenfold and it could be a much more expressive instrument. It has a good sound character and I hate to see it held back. If you did decide to add hard sync you could do it in the oscillator menu as well.. that way you don't need to redesign the interface at all.
I have a bug report as well, in Bitwig (I don't know if it's only Bitwig, it's just the only host I use) it seems to have a problem getting focus if another window takes focus and then is closed... for example opening the about box, after you close the about box the plugin gains and loses focus very rapidly and the title bar flickers like a strobe.
Anyway dev please consider making those changes I mentioned, your synth has the potential to be one of the best VA synths out there with such a good design strategy and smart user interface. BTW I am against the idea of making the one page layout default, the ergonomic design of the tabs is one of the highlights of the synth.

The is something strange about the envelope. Seems there is some attack even when the attack is set to zero. Also the envelope isnt very snappy either

Feature request: moar modulation options.
I’m always a sucker for that. I know not everyone needs a ton of them, but I guess they needn’t use them all if they don’t want to.
Other than that, this is definitely one of the best freeware synths out there. Love it. <3

Define snappy. Attack can't be set to zero only 1ms to avoid annoying clicks.Halonmusic wrote: Tue Aug 11, 2020 2:53 pm The is something strange about the envelope. Seems there is some attack even when the attack is set to zero. Also the envelope isnt very snappy either

i would use this synth more if it was as cpu efficient as synth1, charlatan and elektro because it does sound really good and i like the mod matrix as it is... but it eats cpu once you start adding unison voices.

As in snappy/punchy bass and percussive sounds. especially with high resonance.Teksonik wrote: Tue Aug 11, 2020 4:24 pmDefine snappy. No I mean define Snappy in mathematical terms that the developer can understand so maybe he'll add "snappy" envelopes.Halonmusic wrote: Tue Aug 11, 2020 10:58 pm As in snappy/punchy bass and percussive sounds. especially with high resonance.
If you can't define what you want then you can't expect developers to grant your wishes.

No I'm dead serious. I've seen people complain about envelopes not being "snappy" in several different synths but no one has ever been able to define what makes one envelope snappy and another not.
If someone could define "snappy" in terms and values like time and curve that would make sense to developers then maybe every synth could have at least the option for snappy envelopes.
Until then snappy is just a buzzword with no real meaning.....

Most people including developers knows what 'snappy' envelopes means. No math needed.

From the product page:
Deducktion has been updated to version 1.3. This update includes several changes, including an additonal modulation envelope, stereo oscillators, key split, improved MIDI learn and many layout tweaks and improvements. The effects section has been removed. Themes have been reorganised to provide 2 options: 'extended' (the old single-page view) and 'compact' (the original tabbed-view) allowing themes to be created independently for either view. The extended theme is now the default; select the 'compact' theme to restore the original layout.

thanks for the heads up. tested, still works in WINXP x32
wonder why he ditched the effects, thought maybe it would
make it less cpu heavy, but no... still registers 40% on savihost
playing a 3 note chord on most patches. compared to 5-7%
on a similar patch on synth1

Just a thought. It would be nice if sound-changing/project-breaking features came with a major version number, a different DLL name so people can reload older projects without too much problems. You know, automation and stuff...
Speaking as a fan of DJX10 & DD Reverb mainly. I'll be sure to take a look at Deducktion some more.
