Hi,
I have a Windows 7 HP Pavilion 23 all-in-one computer. I use M-Audo Keyrig and Keystation, free ASIO interface, and free MULAB DAW (as well as M-Tron Pro standalone). My keyboard setup has always been simple and easy to use. I plug in the keyboard before I open the software and it automatically connects; if it does not, I have only to open the MIDI settings and choose the keyboard I've plugged in. Suddenly, in the past two weeks, I cannot get the MIDI to connect. On both MULAB and M-TRon, when I click on the available MIDI inputs, there are none listed or available. I bought a new keyboard because I thought the problem was my 8-year-old Keyrig. So I bought a Keystation, registered it, and the software automatically installed. I tried to open my DAWs one at a time and sure enough, no MIDI instruments were shown as connected. Can someone please tell me what button to push to make my keyboards work again?? I haven't a clue what to try to change.
Thank you.
P. S.: I went into Drivers on the Control Panel and was told the software is not installed. I tried to install it through the troubleshooter and failed. I also have been unable to install Windows updates for months, so I'm concerned it may be part of a larger problem with the computer.

I could only imagine computer problems as reason...
