PhaseTransition I made a read me for mac

Installation
------------
Close All Instances of Icarus vst used in your Daw of choice.

Find Icarus.vst inside your VST-Folder. (Make a backup of it to your desktop or somewhere safe)
Right Click and choose the Show Package Contents.
Navigate to Contents/Resources Folder

Drag the bmpXXXX.png files into the Resources Folder and choose the Replace option for all three.
Close the Package

Set Skin size option as prefered.

Use Icarus vst in your DAW.

To deinstall the skin just replace Icarus VST with the safety copy on your desktop (or wherever you choose to make that safety copy), or of course from Tone2's official installer.

This is not an official Tone2 Skin.
Use at your own risk!
and Rezipped it.... let me know if you want the whole thing.

I should add I am on 10.14.6, and indeed I dont' know if this will work with Catalina and Big Sur.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing. Of course I will include this.
Is that possible for any Mac user or is there a special software needed?

Are they real oak side panels? ;)

Nope. Vitual Oak. For environmental reasons. But it's hard to tell the difference.

I am not sure if it will work in Catalina, but no, no special tools needed, you can right click any vst on mac and show package contents.

Ironically the mac use is smoother... that is it works at all three resolutions like the official skin. Like you documented, the pc works at two resolutions from the gui (which two depends on how you name them). I wonder if there is a third name to give the second PC small one to allow it seamlessly to go to any of the three resolutions once the skins are installed.

The skin really looks fantastic! Thanks for creating it.

On PC you can use /Icarus_data/Icarus2SkinSmall.png and /Icarus_data/Icarus2SkinLarge.png to import custom skins . The files are loaded when the plugin is loaded. In Icarus 2 only up to 2 skins can be overwritten. Please note that this is a hidden feature for development and not officially supported.
Future PC versions will also support /Icarus_data/Icarus2SkinSmaller.png

On Mac the custom skins most likely will work with Icarus2.0. But they might not longer work with future updates, because Apple made the Notarisation more strict in 2020. As a result the plugin might fail scanning and be not longer visible in some hosts when you change the resources of plugins which have been Notarized after 2020. Then it is possible that the VST still works, but the Audiunit not. I think there existis a workaround to switch off the Notarisation from the user-side, but do not longer remember how.
