I'm really interested in this type of plugin, if you can resolve the issues that people have been having. I usually write and record a demo for a song a week, and my time is limited. Having Gulfoss has been great to just quickly put on the master bus to get a reasonable sound when I want to share this week's demo with people and don't have a lot of time to mix the track. Having a similar plugin to 'master' the track (even if it's not perfect) would be very nice.

You could try IK Master Match, MTM Mixroom, Izotope Ozone, TDR Nova or Slick Eq M, PA DSM V3 and so on. All these tools give you more control over the process (range, amount etc.) plus let you load reference tracks for comparison and matching. Most of them are a lot cheaper, others are often on sale for a few bucks.

Thanks.. I have MTM bassroom and it’s been really useful, but I have no experience with the other products/manufacturers.
Time to demo them all!

Tried the demo and it produced something immediately more balanced that I could produce. I think I will use it before stacking own mastering chain on it for dynamic range reduction.

Installed the trial but Acon Acooustica said it couldn't be loaded. My mastering engineer is safe for another few projects...

as I experienced, by modifying the pre-master BEFORE entering the plug-in, the resulting rendering will have some differences that you can exploit, so IMHO it won't replace totally the sound engineers

I still wish this thing had a few things we could control. There are many times that it makes things too bright.. so some user input would be nice to have. Yes, you can sort of force it to not do it by pre-emphasizing with EQ but then the dynamics can go out of whack.

Just give us a few post controls for telling the AI to make it darker/less or more bass etc.

Basically everything Wytse said in his video would make it a lot better.

Why do I wish these things? Because the overall results of this thing are by far the best I have heard from any type of automated mastering plugin. There is so much potential but none of it is realized because there are no ways to slightly nudge it in a particular direction and this is a real shame as some loving care has clearly been put into this plugin.
