Can't resist and have to ask this again.
Love the DAW, but the UI

Are there plans to make this a little more......... nice and modern?

Post

I really like using Mixcraft. It's mostly my main DAW now (shares time with MPC Live/software). Have you tried v9? I think it looks fine and it has a really easy layout to navigate, which is more important than any flashy GUI for me. Stability and ease of workflow are my primary reasons for using Mixcraft.

I like MC but it has no way of doing vertical zoom using the mouse or keyboard, you gotta select all tracks and resize or go into a menu to select between 3 or 4 pre-established sizes. Zooming controls are priority to me. Version 9 looks awesome btw!

Danilo,

If you select a track and then undock the editor tab, you can resize the window very easily in Mixcraft 9.

Running MC 7 for a while I wish every daw copied how you stack instruments on a track.

Limited routing options and at the time no way to undock mixer to second monitor made me leave.

Post

LFM,

The routing is still an issue and I doubt that will change but the docking from version 9 is a big help.
In practice, I don't miss better routing that much but I agree that there should be improvements made there.

I'm still on version 8. Love the ui. Sure routing could use some work but it's never been a show stopper. The biggest improvement in version 9 is the moveable transport controls.

I hate all the worked needed to pull off mpe but I also find myself using more wavetable type synthesis which works against mpe so there isn't a real benefit to running mpe.
