thanks for the words
whilst i’m not averse to a bit of dsp
i can’t read/write wordy code - dyslexic
and wouldn’t put myself in that high category being discussed

Fortunately there are some really excellent developers who make great quality plugins, and sell for affordable pricespulsarmodular wrote: Tue Jul 14, 2020 9:53 amIf you want cheap plugins above all...well, you will eventually get what you pay for.

It's a difficult business... and software modular is a small niche. Most users don't want modular cause it is more work and they can already get the sounds they need from regular fixed architecture synths.pulsarmodular wrote: Tue Jul 14, 2020 9:53 am
Anyway, what does not appear to be fully appreciated by many is the difficulty to have a sustainable business writing plugins. Ziad and team are very aware that my business model did not work at all and they must try something different. I wish them well! If you want cheap plugins above all...well, you will eventually get what you pay for.
Software modular is also difficult cause something like VCV is free... and lots of people get Reaktor Blocks at no additional cost cause they bought Komplete.

Apologies for dishing out, but what you replied didn't really read to me like a joke, especially since Dave's post contains some valid concerns regarding certain aspects of where P900 is heading...
Re P900. For me, the only things I care about are: price, quality, support. So, patiently waiting to see what transpires. In the meantime, I'll entertain myself with your drama.
In terms of competition, Voltage Modular is also a strong contender. It's fairly inexpensive to get started with it. The base bundles are very usable and depending on your budget you can easily purchase more modules from their dev community. Very cool platform and it sounds great.

Yes but with this kind of talk you are defusing it. What about the rest of us? I just brought fresh popcorn.

So far I haven’t heard any sounds as sweet as the P900 come out of voltage modular, though.plexuss wrote: Tue Jul 14, 2020 5:16 pmpulsarmodular wrote: Mon Jul 13, 2020 11:28 amHaha...what's an old curmudgeon like you going to do with a synth anyway? The clue was the smiley face. Will the new update be free for existing owners?P900 wrote: Wed Jul 08, 2020 9:08 amI will let you on a little secret. When P900 resurfaces again, the price will be the most expensive Soft Synth on the market.
We will offer subscription base license for easy entry into the world of Pulsar Modular.

They will pay the most, going by P900's logic.

They never used this website for the synth and the delay. They kept using the old one, the one that is now shut down.Amram wrote: Mon Aug 17, 2020 1:57 pm https://www.pulsarnovation.com
