Random settings of LFO (with restricted values), ramdom settings of Arpreggiator (with restricted values) of some Software Synths in Combination with Effects that support random Level/Pan/Mute/Pitch/Cutting/Repeating etc (like Loomer Sequent or izotopes Stutter Edit 2) can also generate Melodies. Maybe the first trys are not as expected, but if you programm those possibilities in a manner that the values and output is restricted to what you concern as "good", those way could also be interesting!

ChordPotion might be interesting for you, too. It's a chord transformer MIDI plug-in that contains quite a few randomization features as well. Basically, it generates new melodies for you from your chord progressions.

The quickstart tutorials shows some presets in action, and you can also see some randomization examples:

Hi, hope you're all well!
Just to let you know we have been working really hard on a big upgrade for Melody Sauce. We are really pleased with the results and can't wait to share Melody Sauce 2 with you soon!
The upgrade will really expand on the first release and continue our mission – to help producers spark their creativity and generate the high quality melodies they need quickly.
You will find the following added features;
In built sounds covering a range of styles/genres. (which means Melody Sauce is now compatible with other important DAWs like Maschine and Reason).
In built FX.
An extensive melody editor section.
Updated interface.
Choose melodies based on genre.
Extra speed, pattern length and style settings.
Currently we aim to release Melody Sauce 2 in Q4 (Autumn/Fall). We will have a 2 week intro offer of $15 for the V2 upgrade for existing Melody Sauce V1 owners and $49 for the full version. Then the full price will be $19 for the upgrade and $59 for the full version. The upgrade will also be free to customers who purchased up to 30 days before the release date.
Speak soon!

This sounds interesting about the melody editor. Will the editor have the option to lock notes and generate new patterns for those not locked to help create a,b,c sections of a melody etc?evabeat wrote: Wed Aug 18, 2021 10:51 am Hi, hope you're all well!

In a nutshell, your mind. Without this...any plugin is useless. You would need to recognize when it sounds good right? What do you use for that?
...and the electron responded, "what wall?"
