Thoughts on best reverb

I have been using space designer for ages , and I also use relab 480 , I’m going to switch to something else and would love everyone’s thoughts on a Versatile reverb that sounds incredible ?

There is no reverb that is more versatile than a little something I like to call "several different reverbs."

Unless you want a wild change, the safest place to start is with reverbs either made by the same company(ies) or the same type of reverb by a diff company.

You like a Relab reverb, so why not Sonsig and/or VSR S24? As one example.

I've had Hybrid Reverb from Vienna Suite by VSL for >a decade. I never think of another reverb.
It is very versatile. Churches, stages, orchestra halls, an incredible 'piano room' which does wonders for the piano, reverse taps, plates, and more.
It's hybrid because its late reflections are enhanced by algorithmic 'verb. Major control, automatable.

I have and use Hyperspace, Atomic Reverb, and Reverbical. Hyperspace is very flexible and I tend to start there. Atomic Reverb just sounds amazing to me on the long tails that I like. Reverbical's advantage is its grid where you can morph between presets. It sounds good to me but doesn't wow me. Then there's Diffuse, from Surreal Machines. I'm always tempted to use just that, maybe a few different instances. Diffuse and Atomic Reverb sort of sound the way I want to sound. Hyperspace is perfect for when I want something more special or unusual, though I'm always tempted to use it for whatever my need is. For getting a specific sort of sound, the preset grid in Reverbical is great.

Just overall, I think I've got to say Valhalla Vintage Verb. It pretty much always sounds incredible, no matter what its on. Its only $50, and its been used on countless professional releases. If they increased the price to $400, people would still buy it because it SOUNDS that good, and it might even be more loved by some of the cork-sniffers out there at that point, just because if it costs more, its obviously a more refined and well-rounded product
