A reverb is only as good as your use of it. You have Relab 480 and want to switch? Why? It's one of the best old-school type reverbs, a classic. What do you need that's not in it?

Anyone regularly using Raum? One of the best giveaways in recent memory, not just a reverb but a creative toolbox. Also using another awesome freebie, Little Plate, when the need arises; it's got one algorithm but it knocks it out of the park.

I am genuinely mad that I missed it. Its probably completely worth the $50 they are asking, but just knowing most people got it for free makes me reluctant to pay. I'm an ass, I knowyellowmix wrote: Wed Aug 19, 2020 6:13 am Anyone regularly using Raum? One of the best giveaways in recent memory, not just a reverb but a creative toolbox. sound being so subjective there is no such thing as 'best' lol... only 'best priced' or 'most popular'. one man's trash is another man's treasure. cheers

Hmm. It varies from time to time but now I switch between IK Sunset verb and R4/Nimbus. Covers everything I need both in terms of possibilities and sounds. And btw I think Valhalla stuff generally is solid but a bit boring .

I've been away from the scene for a long time and am catching up; I'd assumed Lexicon would be the pinnacle of VST reverbs now, but I'm not seeing any mention of them. Perhaps because they're pricy and use iLok?
Every day takes figuring out all over again how to f#ckin’ live.

I like how LiquidSonics Reverberate sound and the options there to combine IR's and modulate etc.
https://www.liquidsonics.com/
It can also load quad channels IR's which means true stereo. Some free libraries on Bricasti M7 among others.
Otherwise Waves H-Reverb is really well defined space and saw a bunch of good demos on it.

So you're the guy from the "Care to fill me in on the last 15 years of software development?" and the "What can rival the Sonalksis SV-315 compressor in 2020?" threads? Do you intend to start similar threads in every plugin category? We'll have to do a lot of typing in order to fill you in on the details, because as it seems you're lazy enough and can't do your homework so someone has to do it for you.chagzuki wrote: Wed Aug 19, 2020 8:40 am I've been away from the scene for a long time and am catching up; I'd assumed Lexicon would be the pinnacle of VST reverbs now, but I'm not seeing any mention of them. Let me teach you lesson, buddy: there's NO substitute for your own efforts and for your own thinking process.
And yes, Lexicon is still at the top, but the top is a lot more populated now than it used to be.
