Nonsense. And you may point me to the "countless professional releases" it's been used on as well.Jkist wrote: Wed Aug 19, 2020 3:54 am Just overall, I think I've got to say Valhalla Vintage Verb. It pretty much always sounds incredible, no matter what its on. Its only $50, and its been used on countless professional releases. If they increased the price to $400, people would still buy it because it SOUNDS that good, and it might even be more loved by some of the cork-sniffers out there at that point, just because if it costs more, its obviously a more refined and well-rounded product![]()

There is definitely a trend of newly registered users who create threads like "What is the bestest? Discuss.". Pretty stupid, but, hey, I guess there's no rule against stupid.psynical wrote: Wed Aug 19, 2020 5:16 am it's always newbs who start up these ridic list threads, isn't it?
I have a feeling that it's some kind of marketing research whatever, but, I don't know. Maybe it's just stupid.

But hey, he loves this noisy, dirty thing so much that he acts as unpaid product ambassador. Why not?

Can’t be left out from any reverb list:
Smartelectronix Anechoic Room Simulator.
Doesn’t get more realistic than this baby, it’s the gold standard for every reverb aficionado!

Let me teach you a lesson, buddy. Forums are for discussing things, and I like to get informed views to direct my own research, because time is limited. I think most people do, and that's generally why we're here. Thanks for relaying your experience.schpaeckulum wrote: Wed Aug 19, 2020 9:59 am Let me teach you lesson, buddy: there's NO substitute for your own efforts and for your own thinking process.
And yes, Lexicon is still at the top, but the top is a lot more populated now than it used to be.
Every day takes figuring out all over again how to f#ckin’ live.

Nice to have a convolution reverb, a clear reverb, and a funky reverb--and then get more reverbs, yes. They are precious.
Don't be afraid of free reverbs. Oril River and the TAL ones are good.

The most versatile reverb I own is B2. More like a spatial fx powerhouse, with excellent sound quality.

Most versatile reverb i have is actually VVV. I even like it more for clean than most celebrated “clean“ verbs i tried.
the tails might not sound just as good as some of the very best (mostly also very expensive, but often not as versatile) verbs out there, but since i mostly use tails that aren't obvious reverberation, VVV is very good to me. In fact better than many of the pricier ones i tried.
B2 is more for obvious effects for me. It can be also pretty CPU hungry, while VVV needs very little.

Generally I think there's no best. I Actually learned to love the fabfilter pro-r. Most versatile and quickly to fit into a mix as far as my setup goes. Offers multiple characterstic from plate to hall and an innovative eq like spectral length adjustment. Sounds good as has parameters that rather describe the properties/effect than what its doing internally.

An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."
