Thoughts on best reverb

What you are putting into the reverb is relevant to recommendations here. Some recommendations here might be from people who mainly use live acoustic instruments; some might do mostly techno or experimental or soundtrack or FX--and so on. Sometimes that gets lost in reverb recommendation threads.
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

Remember I was looking for a rev. Electronic music. Tried a few before Oil, but it was an instant jaw drop. Now I start mixing in mono without rev until everything sounds good. Then I add fx like rev (insert) and delay.
So I'm kind of curious why people start adding threads about single fx. Because fx only enhance the sound that you already have. At least, that is their purpose, I thought.

People started going backwards, instead of worrying about source, they are obsessing about fixing or polishing their turds, market is like that, behold new emulation of whatever vintage compressor or whatever, you might pick up few nuances if you go into full placebo mode!excuse me please wrote: Thu Aug 20, 2020 4:55 am So I'm kind of curious why people start adding threads about single fx. Never a thread about anything without some intermediates chiming in to showcase their assumed superiority...

@Passing Bye
Sometimes I'm tweaking a synth only to realize that it is muted. But since my brain expects the sound to be altered when I am tweaking a knob, it's just like the sound is actually changing while it is not.
That said, last 4 months I minutiously studied the frequencies under 1k.
At some point I almost got depressed, but I'm glad I did. It gave me a great perspective and confidence as it comes to the whole production.
So yeah, it's better to go from bottom to top than vice versa IMO.

that's because, yet again, someone with less than 5 posts jumps into the forums and asks "vhat iz bwest plvgin?!" and doesn't bother saying a single word about the music they make or what exactly they're looking for in a plugin.
Then all the lonely synth nerds here pile on and make yet another list of vsts they own. And OP is never to be heard from again.
Stay tuned next week for another useless list!

Yes, pretty much sums it up, but still there's more to it, there's all kinds of people here commenting, love this place, people assume too much, I know some local pro's that hang out here and people give them all kind of dick measuring stuff because they just can't snap out of their ego, grow up, we all make music for decades, we worked in pro studios, there's so many countries and people around, get over yourself for a second, just because you have famous nick name on audio forums.

Hey, if someone is stupid, it's not your fault and it's not their fault, that's just how it is. With advanced technology comes man's inability to handle it properly. Not everyone can play violin like Paganini either. So just give him a tip and leave him even more messed up than he is currently.
@OP: For real world instruments or physical modelling instruments, better use a physical modelling reverb, such as VSS3 or the Relab VSR S24. You can do it!
