You have £400, what guitar do you buy?

If you had just £400, $528, or 445 euros to spend on a guitar, what guitar, either acoustic or electric would you spend the money on. I would buy the Epiphone EJ-200CE Acoustic-Electric Guitar in vintage sunburst. Retails at between £370 to £400 and if I was going for an electric guitar i would probably stick with Epiphone and go for the Epiphone ES-335 Dot in vintage sunburst. Retail £350 to £400 but what do I know.
If your choice is different to mine, tell me why you think your choice is better.

Why the hell did I come back to this God forsaken forum?

Probably a PRS SE model - something like this: https://www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars ... gJxxfD_BwE.
I think the PRS quality is very good, and the ability to split the coil on the humbuckers gives you many different tone options.

I've been thinking about getting one of these https://www.epiphone.com/Guitar/EPI8U89 ... acco-Burst for nostalgic reasons. I used to own the Ibanez version, but traded it for a pink paisley Tokai Telecaster in the late 80's.

I am only recently discovering the numerous Youtube channels devoted to guitar specialists breaking down the pros and cons of commercially available low cost models. Learning a lot.
That said, I agree that buying used is . Often, these are broken in just right, and can cost hundreds less than new. Buying from a reputable dealer is key, of course, but there's a lot of great stuff out there to be had.
Also agree that just about any PRS is pretty sweet.
Cheers

Probably a Squier, either a half decent jazzmaster or one of those new paranormal baritone teles, they're tight.

Honestly, I would save more money and get a better one later on.

I like an Ibanez RG Gio as far as cheap guitars go... and they're actually a lot cheaper than that... but you know, they're not everybody's cup of tea.

My first decent acoustic guitar was an Ibanez ... always liked them. Do the GIO's sound as nice as they look?
