I just got email from the dev that Plasmonic is more or less finished and the rest is only sound design.
Its supposed to come out in late september.

Attention VST 2 and AAX users
VST 2:
Steinberg has decided to stop licensing VST 2 to new developers.
Unfortunately this means that it will be impossible to provide a
VST 2 version of Plasmonic.
Of course a VST 3 version will be available.
I totally understand that this can be a dealbreaker for some.
If this is the case for you, let me know and I will proceed with a refund of your
contribution.
AAX:
Unfortunately Rhizomatic so far has not been able to obtain a license for AAX.
I believe that in the future this will happen, once Plasmonic is released
and they realize how cool it is.
If this is a dealbreaker for you, please let me know and I’ll proceed with a refund.
I apologize for this. I’m committed to making Plasmonic available on all major platforms
and plugin formats and I’m disappointed and frustrated by these setbacks.

Orion, but its no longer in development (tho still works fine and is my only host for 20 years and counting)

Reason,
Mulab,
Maschine,
MPC 2,
Komplete Control, VIP, probably a lot of the VST host applications.
(I would bet upcoming Apple Silicon Macs do not support VST2 that well at all)
I'm glad VST3 is starting to not be a buggy mess, because shits getting real!
