Hey Steve, try this.. in note phrase editor like above, select the 5th (the B), set to Bass, then set scale steps to zero..

Ha! I was able to consistently reproduce the vanishing phrase issue.. Also, discovered that it affects settings as well..

And one last update on the storms.. Now they are forecast to miss us.. lol, Yea, those on the news love to inflict fear then it never happens.. lol

I don't know why that happens... When you enlarge the inspector, it should remember the size for each tab even if you quit and restart the application. Is the size reset to small every time?

Some do and some don't.

e.g. the Arpeggiator remembers the size until you select another tab within that inspector then it shrinks again.
Markov melody generator remembers the size until clicking on the General tab - then to get to the Harmonize tab you have to select the Generator tab to be able to see the Generator tab.

closing RC and restarting resets the size. I have the Inspectors set to Last remembered in the settings.

And with the phrase vanishing, noticed too that when you move the mouse off of the track area, the vanish happens. The thing to watch for so you know it will happen is when you drop a phrase down, it is not selected and the play cursor does not move.

I am only getting the disappearing phrase problem on my system if I attempt to use a phrase on a track that has a vsti .All phrases seem to stay if used on a track that is selected to use sound fonts.

RapidComposer v3.9b31 is available!

While I am trying to fix the disappearing phrase problem, I uploaded a new update. Thanks everyone for the feedback!

Improvements:

Double chromatic mediant chords are offered in the suggestions
Blue rectangle is displayed around the keyboard focus area (with own colour setting)
Some changes in the 'Dark' color scheme. You need to reload the 'Dark' theme to see the changes (RC shall not change your existing color settings...)
Fixed phrase envelope issues when adding or removing parts and lines
Fixed a bug which resulted bad notes in the phrase inspector after phrase generation
Fixed: UI layout issues after changing the audio API (in Settings / Audio)

hehe interesting update to slash chords.. Toggling them on and off seem to work, but, haven't tested enough.. However, this happened... (Key of C major) I may not know enough theory to be sure if this is incorrect or not..

Hi,

Working with RC 3.9b31 now.

I am trying to get the specific inversion/voicing shown on the left to appear in the Composition view phrase display.

I have not been able to do so yet. No amount of dragging the phrase up/down will put the E on top.

BTW, is there a level control for the Metronome other than the Accent velocities?

RC is a sequencer, so, no.. it just uses what the VST supplies, in this case the sound font libraries.

Box select ALL the notes in the editor and when you bring up the note inspector, you see an options to ignore non-existent chord notes, un-check that. When that is applies, all the notes are displayed in the composition.

For the voicing editor, I don't think the two are connected..

Hello Attila!
When I open the Chord Selector, I see buttons to go to the previous and next chords.But when I open Quick Suggestions, then going to the previous or next chord is not convenient - I have to close and reopen the window on each chord. I suggest add buttons to jump to the previous and next chords in the Quick Suggestions window.By the way, just clicking on a new chord is inconvenient in this case, since the open window obscures the chords of the master track. Thank.
