Yup, I'm happy they got this fixed. It's a must have functionality that was broken when using sample libraries these days.

The other important fix in 5.01 is : Automation connection lost when switching scenes. That issue made scenes useless to me. Now it makes more sense to use the Console Scenes. Since they also recall any automation you have in your song based on the plugins used.

I think I'll upgrade if they offer a 50% discount during BF, or if and when they improve the key switch editor significantly.
(I'm using S1 4 Pro, the Prime is for the wife and one of her students to dip their toes).

Got a weird GUI glitch in Halion 6, when you are in the Halion edit page, or any of the pages and try and scroll up and down, it just blurs the text.

Anyone else notice this behavior?

Has anyone noticed the scroll in browser, using scroll wheel is slower than usual? I think it started with version 4.6. Right now you have to spin the wheel a lot.

I have a problem with Rob papen b.i.t in v5.
Sometimes it crash and if you select a New preset and right click the preset name and choose save as it does'nt let you give the preset a New name and Sometimes it gives me a crash dump window instead of saving.

It works fine in maschine and cakewalk sonar.

This is on Windows 10. 64bit

What's the benefits over Studio One 4.6 Professional.. I mean the free version that it metamorphosis into ?

I just bought a suite of audio / video software for less than £20.. that's about £50 less than what it costs for a Black Friday upgrade of Studio One. I also just bought a new mouse... as it happens.

Quick question, the default keyboard shortcut for slip editing is ctrl+alt. Is there a way to change the shortcut? I can't seem to find it in the keyboard shortcut menu.

To my knowledge you cannot change any mouse modifiers

TBH, I've only downloaded the demo version to check out the new Analog Delay. It's not bad, but, since I own Replika XT, no other delay really did it for me. Apart from that, there's really nothing in v5 which really would make me want to upgrade, especially for the asked price... Not in a rush to do anything at all. Maybe I even ship the next few versions, if there's nothing substantial I need.

Ok, the new plugin GUI's are quite fancy, but, apart from that...

Gain envelopes, key switches, some bug fixes in the pattern editor, and aux channels/“external instrument tracks” are all things I have been using extensively, definitely enough to justify the upgrade.

Studio One 5 Available Now (5.3 Out June 29th, 2021)
