They need to do a lot better to get the price they demand (from me).
You're making no difference between an upgrade price for a yearly brush off with an upgrade to a complete redo after the first 20 years in a row support. We understand that one big step on a small staircase still is one big step. But realistically the price tag you're hoping for could not happen in what remains a niche market.
It's no problem for me. I bought U-He's Colour Copy at an cheaper intro full price as my upgrade price for Infinity is. I bought Valhalla Delay full without Intro price cheaper than your upgrade/crossgrade price. (about the same price, around 45€)
Additionally it was not announced, that it would actually go up from 59€ for up/crossgrades (I asked this some weeks ealier, but no answer).
This is what I mean, and you're product is not as stable as these products when I bought them, they had zero issues on day one, at least not as hard crashing as your current version.
I'd think about it for a 39, maybe 49€ intro / public beta upgrade price which has an announced end date, but not as you promote it and suddenly it jumps up in price. I don't like these business models, and that's why I'll wait some time till it's stable and consider your product for the then-price.
I'm not mad or feel entitled or so, just want to let you know that I'm a bit disappointed with your business tactics / loyal customer pricing.

Frankly, I’m done with OhmForce. I liked their plugins a lot, but their whole idea of making you pay more for different versions really turned me off. I’ve got stuff that more or less does most of what their plugins do and I’m just not that interested in them anymore. Is Infinity really going to give me something I’m not getting from Sandman Pro? Seems like too little, too late.

Got to agree. More than two years since they announced this and its still not finished, yet the upgrade price has gone up to 64 Euros ... :scared:

Find it ironic that people are name dropping u-he (which I own and love myself) while in the same breath complaining how long it's taking. How long has Zebra 2 been in development? Not that I have a problem with that either, I'd rather wait for something worth waiting for. Albeit there's some bugs still but a vast improvement from the last version ime, least on my system, and like Zebra, I can still use the old ohmboyz.

Dev also said from the very beginning how the price would increase with each phase. Just my take, to me it sounds good and is it's own thing. Easy to get creative with in a hurry, whether it will stay in a starting rotation remains to me seen but I'm glad to have it and happy with the latest update personally. I get where people are coming from I guess, but like buy it or don't, that's up to you right.

I'm sorry, but this is a totally different situation here.
It's Zebra 3 which was announced around 8 years ago or so, but no one can buy it yet.
Zebra 2 is in constant development and features are added with every point release - it's rock stable!
Ohmboyz is just in maintenance mode and hasn't seen any features since about the same time.
What I'd really only want for the old plugins is new bigger interfaces (which U-He delivered years ago for almost all products, at no cost).

Dev should communicate price increases, also afair dev did not say the crossgrade/upgrade price will go up, only the full price.
Things which U-he does exceptionally well: communication.

I got the email saying Ohmboys will be discontinued and to cross-grade to this new delay. Unfortunately the price of this cross grade is more than my other delays I use.

An email to registered users I guess. I completely forgot I bought a licence years ago!

In the email: "But after 20 years, Ohmboyz Infinity is about to replace it in our lineup in one month or so - which means we'll stop supporting Ohmboyz. There's an upgrade option and as you'd expect the price is at its best for that last stretch before release"

That's great - thanks :tu: . I have ohmboyz and got the early bird upgrade to Infinity in about 2018. I must have dropped off the mailing list for some reason. I'll email them.

Ah, hold on I didn't get it because I have the early bird Infinity licence. "One month or so". I'm really not holding my breath for late September 2020 :D

Could someone who's got in on early access give their impressions of Infinity?

I.e., what's it comparable to, the sound quality, the variety and usefulness of modulation options, etc.
A well-behaved signature.
