Well, I'm still thoroughly addicted to this wonderful app! I see no reason to just forget about it either. It still works great, and I know others agree.

How about we organize our own "Fans of Muzys" forum? We could do it with a yahoo group perhaps, but I'm open to suggestions. (The advantage of having the yahoo group is the 'files' section where we could exchange patches and such.)

We simply need a place where we users can share questions and solutions about Muzys.

Until the time that we hear from Jo again about his newest creation, I see no reason that we can't keep discussing Muzys related topics in a user-supported discussion group. (Or maybe something like this already exists?)

Who want's to be moderator? I nominate Caleb! :D

During the moments of the day in which he's not exporting his Muzys songs to Tracktion, or learning the ins and outs of eXT, I'm sure Caleb would be the ideal choice for a Muzys fan forum. ;) Rarely have I seen a user so passionate about a program.

Oh God! TRAKTION!
You've got to be kidding - I can't stand that program.

Muzys is indeed God's sequencer and a fantastic tool for now. However, alot of my love of this tool comes from what I know it can become.

At the moment, some of this is in doubt. I know that whatever Jo has in mind it will be driven alot by his desire for Muzys to continue and be a productive tool for its current and future users.

But until an announcement is made it's difficult to be certain about what will unfold. I know I would rather wait and understand what my involvement will be in whatever the future product is before I start anything that is going to take a commitment from me.

I am investing some of my time in EnergyXT matters (I think the further I go the more I find) and I'm also trying to work on my first album along with renovating my shitful website into a profession home for my own musical ambitions.

For me Muzys was the most amazing compositional tool on the planet - and I could happily throw away any other host high-end, medium-end and low-end in the process of making that statement. As a complete sequencer/host though it lacked some things that it really did need (disk streaming audio and VST-midi capabilities to name two that often spring to mind). I'm wondering (as are many - I'm sure) whether these kinds of features are going to eventuate.

I'm happy to sit it out for the moment and see what happens and I'll continue to explore eXT either as a potential replacement host or as an amazing addition to the future (or current) Muzys product.

Good to see at least one person took my advice from the Muzys support forum..

:D

Sorry sickle - I'm not sure what your advice was.

Was it to use EnergyXT instead of Muzys or with Muzys?

If so - that was good advice.

In fact, I believe people should be considering EnergyXT whether they want it as a host or not.

I am developing a site devoted to digital musicians. This project will include a download section, a forum, remix competitioins, and many other things. Being a huge muzys fan myself, i would be more than happy to host a "Muzys Forum", Club, Group, or whatever u wanna call it. My site is located at http://www.digitalmusicianx.com . Of course i would give the "Muzys Group" a seporate subdomain from the main site..

I very much like the idea of a muzys support/discussion group, so if you think you would like create this at my domain, please contact me. If not, i still think this is a great idea.

Something while we wait :)

Well, I was pretty much joking when I suggested you be the moderator of a new Muzys forum. You know how frustrated I have been with the whole Muzys situation. But I find myself going bak to it for it's logical workflow and ease of use to bust out quick beats and grooves.

As you know, I'm also a big supporter of Jorgen's work. Man, if only Jo had the small army that Jorgen has working with him. I thought Jo's support was impeccable, but Jorgen's constant updating and growing resource list such as the commands and user manuals (which are also constantly being updated!) is unbelievable. Jo was always quick to respond to requests, but the Jorgen support network goes even further. At this rate, whatever Jo has up his sleeve better be able to compete with what EnergyXT *will* definately become.

Cheers to you Caleb,

I think there are enough Muzys followers out there that there would be visitation to the site. Let's try and see.

You should make a formal announcement in this forum to that effect since most Muzers are still coming to KVR for info.

I don't have time to be a moderator for this, but I would visit on a frequent basis and help answer questions.

Some initial statement of the forum's purpose, such as "To provide a discussion group for users of the virtual music studio formely known as Muzys." It should also be made very clear in this statement that Muzys (for now) is no longer being developed, manufactured, sold or distributed. Finally, it should be clarified that this is not an official support site for Muzys and has no personal relationship with the originator.

Oh, but you could make mention of CMuzys the limited version of Muzys that Computer Music Magazine still distributes on every CD that comes with it.

Very generous of you to offer. I'm off now to look at your site....
