Hello all,

First of all I hope you're up ad well!

Today we have some good news!

The next update of Cubasis 3 is now available through the App Store and Google Play Store.
Version 3.1.2 includes fixes and enhancements for the iOS and Android versions of Cubasis 3 as well as Cubasis LE for iOS.

Also new to the table is the Cubasis LE trial version for Android!

And check out our late summer sale: from August 24, 2020, until September 14, 2020, prices
for Cubasis and its in-app purchases are discounted.

You can find all information here.

Stay healthy,

Can anyone confirm whether or not IAP transfers will work from Cubasis 2 (not LE) to Cubasis 3 LE? I intend to unlock it with my zoom interface and then upgrade, but the IAP transfer process in this particular case is not transparent and unclear whether its even possible based on the info available online ....

EDIT: problem solved so I removed the rest of this post except the above part and the section that was quoted.

Also IMHO Steinberg kind of messed up the version 3 rollout and made it more confusing than it needed to be, perhaps partly due to Apple restrictions, but I don't really buy that they couldnt do anything to make an upgrade possible for users of Cubasis 2. One obvious way would be to offer a bundle including both versions which would allow for an upgrade price to complete the bundle.

I have the Android version. Will the in app purchases transfer over if I buy it for iOS as well?

It won't the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store do not talk to each other. If you switch from PS4 to the XBOX you will have to buy the games all over again.

The games itself yes, but not the assets I bought in game as long as I'm registered with the same account. In this case it would be MySteinberg that I have to use when I want to buy extensions for Cubasis.

Well, then not in this case, you will have to buy it again.

Can't say for sure based on preliminary use, but there still seem to be several issues with the current version.

Mostly the issues Ive had so far are related to micrologue. Tweaking filter cutoff with a held note can at times either completely cut the sound or cutoff gets stuck at a particular value and stops responding to knob movements. Also not sure if I'm doing something wrong but the ARP does not seem to move beyond the first step, and I can't figure out how to trigger it. Maybe missing something obvious but either it's very obtuse or simply doesn't work. Not sure if any of these carry on from version 2, as I haven't used it in a while and never did use it much.

A drum pattern I recorded using the classic machines pack recorded fine, and I haven't really tested with other AU plugins yet.

Overall I think I'll stick to my old workflow for now, and use Cubasis more for importing audio, final mixing and arrangement, when needed. I feel it's not completely there yet though it's already been some time since the initial release, and still needs some work before being a viable alternative for switching more tasks over.
