We get your actual name, thats it. It is a measure to keep out frauds once they have been banned.

We have restricted the selling of unregistered licenses, these can now only be sold by commercial resellers and developers. Some have already shown interest and will be active in the next days. We invite other developers and commercial resellers to post their offers. It is free for now, you just need to open an account and send us an email requesting reseller privileges. In the future we plan to take a margin from the sales of commercial resellers and developers, but it is too early to say when we will do that. Regular use will remain free.
Here is why we prohibited the selling of unused licenses by regular users:
Allowing the selling of unregistered licenses by regular users has led to a flood of offers which potentially violate the rights of developers or commercial resellers, because they give away licenses for free which are not meant to be resold. This also causes potential problems for buyers on KnobCloud, who may later be unable to resell the once purchased license, or in some cases may end up with a revoked license.
License transfers, on the other hand, imply the consent of the developer in regards to the new ownership. They are therefor much safer for everyone involved.
We realized we could not be examining every unregistered license in regards to whether it can be sold or not. Banning them completely seemed the only straightforward way to protect the rights of everyone involved.

This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

We´ve introduced a flagging system and we increased the number of possible daily offers to 10. We are pretty happy with how it is now, we´ve got less traffic, but more quality. With Connect with PayPal, the written feedback section and our set of rules we are as safe as we can be.

Simply great! At first I had my doubts, but I saw that it offers the possibility to request a refund through PayPal in case something goes wrong.
I've made several deals without any problems. Congratulations on Knobcloud!

In view of the recent scams on different sites (Ableton locked its sell-subforum because of it) let me highlight why Knobcloud is by far the safest place to make these transactions.
- The transfer conditions of 130 developers are worked into our offering system
- We use Connect with PayPal to validate the registration
- PayPal with Buyer Protection is included in every offer
- Only registered licenses can be sold
Unregistered licenses are the most dangerous ones, because they are transferred without the consent of the developer. They may be not for resale, and the buyer may not notice it until he wants to sell it himself.
The recent scam wave has not affected knobcloud users. So far, we had only one case of scamming; that was before Connect with PayPal.
