will there be a black friday sale for komplete? i waited till 13 (have 11 ultimate). with super 8 and guitar rig 6 pro (and yes, massive x...), this was worth waiting.

Don't underestimate the effort involved in redoing the GUI from scratch - that was quite a big lift. Also with GR's modifiers and routing those already existing Komplete effects get into new places quite easily. Besides, they were created with GR in mind in the first place.
3 new amps may sound not much, but ICM allows for a pretty quick addition of new amps and effects due to machine learning being involved (no competitor uses machine learning in the same capacity, plus NI's tech is patent pending), so expect GR6 to be a living breathing product, with new amps coming in often.

and you can still learn "controllers", for my FCB-1010?EvilDragon wrote: Tue Sep 01, 2020 12:42 pm IMHO yes the new amps are comparable or even better than Neural stuff in girth, dynamics and pick response.
I still love Thermionik the best, but that may be simply because I'm so used to it by now.

Good to see the scalable interface being rolled out and if you don't already have modern amp sim this is a good addition to the basic package.

It would be pretty crazy not to be able to do thatWasteLand wrote: Tue Sep 01, 2020 12:53 pmand you can still learn "controllers", for my FCB-1010?EvilDragon wrote: Tue Sep 01, 2020 12:42 pm IMHO yes the new amps are comparable or even better than Neural stuff in girth, dynamics and pick response.

Dr. Julian Parker and his colleagues actually made a public paper based on this tech, modeling the MS-20 filter.V0RT3X wrote: Tue Sep 01, 2020 12:50 pm The new machine learning / circuit sim stuff is interesting! I hope NI will be using this tech in future synthesizer releases.

No promises for anything, but the tech can do a lot. Except time-based circuits (reverbs etc.)

K12 standard owner here... all that could potentially interest me in K13 standard is Crush Pack which I have already bought separately and Super 8 which I don't actually need that much.
Don't play gitaur or gutair of how on earth is it called... so no need for GR6
Gladly skipping the uprgade

yes i thought so, but i wanted to be sure!! i am not a guitar player, but i use the guitar... so i need effects, and expression...EvilDragon wrote: Tue Sep 01, 2020 12:55 pmIt would be pretty crazy not to be able to do thatWasteLand wrote: Tue Sep 01, 2020 12:53 pmand you can still learn "controllers", for my FCB-1010?EvilDragon wrote: Tue Sep 01, 2020 12:42 pm IMHO yes the new amps are comparable or even better than Neural stuff in girth, dynamics and pick response.

and i thought so about BF, so i must consider to buy komplete 13, or wait for a sale for komplete 13 ultimate. i will loose money if i sell the update to komplete 13, or it is enough for me komplete 13. difficult decision.
i already thought guitar rig 6 pro was coming, and it is there now, super 8 i wanted also, it is in komplete 13. massive x is nice, but not overwhelming (and no MPE...), although the sound was very good. i bought largo instead, haha, and cypher 2 and.. and.. and..
but my decision was firm, wait till komplete 13, and buy it in sale...
now....
EDIT: and kontakt 6... yes quite nice.. mmmmmh

I agree on the GUI (I was very disappointed when Kontakt 6 didn't get a scalable interface) and I am genuinely glad that GR6 is a product that will be developed over time (although a little sceptical on the timeline after still waiting for some fairly basic features to be implemented with Massive X).EvilDragon wrote: Tue Sep 01, 2020 12:53 pm Don't underestimate the effort involved in redoing the GUI from scratch - that was quite a big lift. ICM sounds interesting, I look forward to demoing and trying it for myself.

not trying to get you to upgrade, but you do realise, its basically an effects package.recursive one wrote: Tue Sep 01, 2020 1:00 pm .

which sounds great on synths too
