Don't play gitaur or gutair of how on earth is it called... so no need for GR6

not trying to get you to upgrade, but you do realise, its basically an effects package.
which sounds great on synths too :)

guitar rig 5 pro has a High Quality mode, the sound difference was always very big, to my ears.
i think it must be done by oversampling (distorted/saturated sounds, sound better with oversampling, they need oversampling, or if you want the sound without oversampling, it also ok of course...)

Yes, I actually did use GR5 on some synths in the past but it always was kinda clunky so now I prefer making my own chains of separate effects not wrapped into anything (their Crush and Mod packs, Raum and Replica XT are great btw, I use them a lot instead of GR components)
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

cool. just didnt want you put off by the guitar word.
(its just dressed up like that so guitarists arent intimidated by technological advances like computers)

In GR6 HQ mode is enabled all the time and it is valid on all old amps and effects. New amps don't need a HQ mode :)

Thank you WasteLand!

Thank you, too, EvilD ...

Why don't they need oversampling?

You have more insights on this, can I ask a few things..
Do the 'legacy' amps and effects inside GR6 sound any different to you?
Also - standalone Crush Pack and Raum are pretty nice effects, but in my experience they are quite the CPU hogs. Do you think this has been improved upon?

All the GR5 amps sound the same as in GR5 with HQ mode on.

All the new effects are DSP-wise unchanged, so their CPU usage is unchanged too.

I love all the 'new' fx in GR6 ... but I think there is still no self ducking option for reverb and delay. And I'm missing Replika and Supercharger - both are top notch!

You have envelope follower (Input Level component) as modifier in GR, use that to get all the ducking you want!

I'll try this. Thank you.

When the sales come, it will be worth it for me mostly for Straylight, Pharlight, and the Cremona instruments. Wish I hadn't already bought Plucked Acoustic, but I got some good use from it, so I guess I can't complain.

Damn, feels like I am weeks late. It came a bit as a surprise actually. :o
