guitar rig 5 pro has a High Quality mode, the sound difference was always very big, to my ears.freshalex wrote: Tue Sep 01, 2020 12:57 pm Does anyone know if Guitar Rig 6 Pro has an internal oversampling?
i think it must be done by oversampling (distorted/saturated sounds, sound better with oversampling, they need oversampling, or if you want the sound without oversampling, it also ok of course...)

Yes, I actually did use GR5 on some synths in the past but it always was kinda clunky so now I prefer making my own chains of separate effects not wrapped into anything (their Crush and Mod packs, Raum and Replica XT are great btw, I use them a lot instead of GR components)vurt wrote: Tue Sep 01, 2020 1:04 pmnot trying to get you to upgrade, but you do realise, its basically an effects package.recursive one wrote: Tue Sep 01, 2020 1:00 pm .

In GR6 HQ mode is enabled all the time and it is valid on all old amps and effects. New amps don't need a HQ mode

Thank you WasteLand!
Why don't they need oversampling?
Thank you, too, EvilD ...EvilDragon wrote: Tue Sep 01, 2020 1:13 pm In GR6 HQ mode is enabled all the time and it is valid on all old amps and effects. New amps don't need a HQ mode![]()

You have more insights on this, can I ask a few things..EvilDragon wrote: Tue Sep 01, 2020 1:13 pm In GR6 HQ mode is enabled all the time and it is valid on all old amps and effects. New amps don't need a HQ mode![]()
Do the 'legacy' amps and effects inside GR6 sound any different to you?
Also - standalone Crush Pack and Raum are pretty nice effects, but in my experience they are quite the CPU hogs. Do you think this has been improved upon?

All the GR5 amps sound the same as in GR5 with HQ mode on.
All the new effects are DSP-wise unchanged, so their CPU usage is unchanged too.

I love all the 'new' fx in GR6 ... but I think there is still no self ducking option for reverb and delay. And I'm missing Replika and Supercharger - both are top notch!

You have envelope follower (Input Level component) as modifier in GR, use that to get all the ducking you want!freshalex wrote: Tue Sep 01, 2020 1:37 pm I love all the 'new' fx in GR6 ... but I think there is still no self ducking option for reverb and delay. When the sales come, it will be worth it for me mostly for Straylight, Pharlight, and the Cremona instruments. Wish I hadn't already bought Plucked Acoustic, but I got some good use from it, so I guess I can't complain.
