Yeah. I think it might just be the highlight of Komplete 14.
First it was Reaktor 6, then Kontakt 6, now Guitar Rig Pro 6... so Absynth 6 makes the most sense.

I wouldn't expect more than patches for Absynth to run on Arm based OS X, VST3 and a resizable GUI, and I would barely expect that. The guy who coded all of Absynth is currently coding another synth with his own company, and no longer works for NI.
Man I don't like to break bad news, but read my post right before this, the developer is designing a new synth for his own company.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Wed Sep 02, 2020 6:07 pmYeah. I think it might just be the highlight of Komplete 14.

That's disappointing. Haven't been using Absynth 5 lately, but I would have loved a new GUI at the least.machinesworking wrote: Wed Sep 02, 2020 6:15 pmMan I don't like to break bad news, but read my post right before this, the developer is designing a new synth for his own company.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Wed Sep 02, 2020 6:07 pmYeah. NI will probably never upgrade Absynth, we can hope they maintain it, that's about it.
I have the great Replika in several different linux distros, with different releases of qt. In one of them, there is some serious gui corruption, but presets can be accessed. Makes sense to me that a qt flaw or flaws exist, but getting them fixed will be like the 'greased pig' chase at the local country/county fairFicciones wrote: Wed Sep 02, 2020 2:13 pm Ah, good to know it has a definite source, NI needs to get on top of the Qt guys to fix this.
you do it!EvilDragon wrote: Wed Sep 02, 2020 6:24 pm Just because Brian ain't with NI anymore, doesn't mean there aren't other people that can take over the code. It's a matter of effort vs payoff, though.
Pick a sound, any sound (hint: start with a new sound
I like a lot of things about NI, the pricing structure, the sounds etc. but I haven't seen any evidence that NI will spend extra time to nurture a plug in that has a ton of legacy code that would need to be addressed, by developers who never worked on that code in the first place.EvilDragon wrote: Wed Sep 02, 2020 6:24 pm Just because Brian ain't with NI anymore, doesn't mean there aren't other people that can take over the code. overpriced, all three options. full price and upgrade simply ridiculous. 99$ would be OK for someone wanting to buy a new amp sim from scratch, but as an upgrade price, 49$ is what this really deserves.Guitar Rig 6 Pro - Available October 1, 2020:
Full version: 199 USD
Upgrade: 149 USD
Update: 99 USD"
