Bjorn mentioned about waiting for a subsequent Fury 800 release to use it for OSC, is that one ready or was this premature?

Post

He just released version 2, now at 2.0.1, so I'm guessing we're good to go :tu:

oh boy :D:D:D

Post

It was to be expected. The original was my first synthesizer - I guess I am obliged to come up with something...; - )

Post

I liked Full Bucked! Good VSTi's!

Post

I am sure that Mr. Björn will definitely come here, and maybe someone else has already figured it out) So, a banal question: I certainly hear a difference in sound, but still what exactly changes when switching to Bucket mode? :)

Post

According to the manual the biggest difference is certain stages in the envelope generator that are exponential in bucket mode as opposed to parabolic in poly-800 mode.

Post

I like the overall sound of it Fury from what I've heard of its presets. Could be an interesting month.

QUICK TIP: Show All Parameters

You can see all the parameter sliders at once, instead of having to hover over each one if you select "Show All Parameters" in the menu:

show_all_parameters.jpg

@Bjorn: suggestion: could you tweak this option to only show the red lines on the black background? and maybe be the default? (Or maybe change them to a brighter color like green, orange, or yellow?) It is fairly difficult to read on the blue. You could retain the blue hover state, of course! :)
@Bjorn: thing #2: the numbers for each of the parameters is confusing because we're also expecting to be able to maybe see the values of the sliders, would it be possible to get rid of them or are they serving a particular purpose?
And thing #3: this is sounding great already! fairly "interesting" envelopes that really get good results. I will try not to butcher anything. But my abilities seem to be going downhill, so can't promise anything!

This thing is fun!
I would love some color coding per section (DCO1, 2, VCF, etc...), making it easier to see what's what right away.
Other than that, it behaves well and sounds fine! Another piece of quality code from Björn!
My recent track record of finishing something is exceedingly lousy, so...I can only hope, I'll find the time to go at a proper track. Too often I miss out on Full Bucket Masterpieces. ...but I'll try! :hyper:

Post

Sooo... Did somebody already got some decent kick out of this one? I did manage to get some hats and some metallic snare sounds, but no decent kick so far.

I guess my submission will be kick-less... :-P

I did manage to prepare two versions (with Bucket mode and poly-800 mode) by setting "Bend" to full range and make some pitch-bend automation, works just fine for me.

Post

Yeah I was also thinking about playing with pitch bend automation. Seems te be the only option. Nice example, I like it.

I tried some things, so this is what i came up with:

https://soundcloud.com/impedancemusic/f ... JGgSxRDla1

The presets are single instance so no layering. The first iteration is Fury-800 without any FX and the second is with a bit OTT and an EQ. I share my presets here eventhough I´m sure a lot of people here will come up with much better kick drums than me :hihi:
But maybe it´s useful for someone for some kind of a starting point.

Basically i used the self oscillation of the Filter (Cutoff at 0 and Resonance at Max) for the sound base and using the Filter Envelope to shape the sound. The first Oscillator is used to give the sound more "deepness" and the Noise Generator is turned on for a better Impact. That´s basically it. :D
