feedback routing in Cubase

Hello,
i am trying to figure out if its possible to have an FX track in Cubase be routed back to itself, creating a feedback route - the technique commonly used in dub music for dub delays, etc.
In other words - is it possible to have a FX track's output sent back to its input.

That feedback pathway is not permitted internally in Cubase. There have been dozens of requests for this feature in their forums for years. Your only recourse is to route the effect to a physical output on your I/O device and back into one of the I/Os inputs and assigned to a track, which in turn can be routed back to the effect via a send. Convoluted, yes...but do-able.

...or just use one of countless delay plugins that support feedback above 100% / 0dB

Cubase Pro allow to route a bus/grouptrack back to a track.
I did that countless times, even if not intending to route back to same bus, just rerecord.
This way it seems theoretically possible to do, then route this track further to same bus.
Not sure though if same bus is blocked to route this new track feeding from the bus. I dropped Cubase Pro 2 years ago, so.
Other daws like Protools and Cakewalk has Aux tracks for similar purposes.
But if this is worth doing is another matter. Experiment, experiment......

In Cubase 10.5 Pro you can route an fx track to a group and vice versa, but once one track is sent or routed to another, the first track disappears from the list of destinations the other can route to. This remains the case if you cascade through another group track so I found no way to break this.lfm wrote: Thu Sep 03, 2020 11:58 am Cubase Pro allow to route a bus/grouptrack back to a track.

It's then obvious they avoid the feedback thingy.
I would try and experiment with doing this delay in many instances as inserts on the track, and fiddle with settings like dry/wet how much is transferred to next.
It will be similar to doing feedback thingy.
Or doing the same on a bus, and use send from track to search the right settings.
