Did you even read this thread? This is spam by some YouTube kid promoting his channel, he is not the least interested in your plugin list...fcamp wrote: Thu Sep 03, 2020 3:19 pm Drive knob in Fuse VQA-154

I suspect that your are envious that my list is bigger than yours.
Jokes aside, I haven't even seen his video. But lists are nice, they have given me good ideas in the past. I don't care if he is promoting whatever as far as I have the option of not watching it. Report to the administrators if you think that the guy is doing something bad, I don't know.

I’ve got no “go-to” plugin, but there are a few that I hit all the time. Decapitator is good, though could use some oversampling. Saturn has decent sounding algorithms, but has excellent functionality. The Arturia pre-amp emulations can give nice saturation if abused and generally sound very good. NI’s Dirt is very nice (part of Crush Pack, highly recommended). Amplitube and Guitar Rig are great on synths and drums. Audio Damage’s Kombinant is excellent, especially for NIN types of sounds. IK’s Tape Delay’s internal preamp emulation can add a lot of subtle saturation and warmth even with the delay volume down. Izotope’s Trash 2 is great if you can deal with it’s wonky interface.
It’s not a native plugin, but the UAD Culture Vulture emulation is really one of my favorite software distortions. I almost like it more than my Analog Heat for some things. The UAD guitar stomp boxes are also excellent. Last night I was abusing the UAD Avalon preamp on my Pro 2 and it sounded excellent.

No it isn't. It never appeared to me that they cared much. After all, they also had influenzahs here, who had their own "pro" forums here.fese wrote: Thu Sep 03, 2020 11:28 am Hello? This is a total clickbait post from someone who desperately wants to push his YouTube channel! Don’t fall for it!
Is that even allowed on KVR?

May I ask what happened to Calenberger, in here?

It is impossible to make this list because different plugins do different things, so your favourite might work in one situation but will be completely useless in another. If you need distortion at all, you need at least half-a-dozen different things for different purposes.
The first distortion plugin I usually reach for is Tantrum but half the time it isn't up to the job so I have another couple of dozen I'll go through until I find one that works. Sometimes, though, what worked on a specific instrument in one song won't work on a similar sound in a different context so I can't even say with any conviction that Plugin A works for this and Plugin B for that. It's a black art and you just have to go through them all until you get the result you are after most of the time.
