My answer is same as last time.
Izotope Trash for heavier crunch and various PSP devices overdriven or Echo in non delay mode.
Sometimes for weird i’ll still reach for GR.

Oh - I just tried the free Burier and I have to admit (with loudness compensated!) this is extremely good. Thick or nasty or in between, very convincing. It's definitely going to be one of my few go-to's (alongside the Kush Omegas and some Nebula stuff).

I regret getting character as well :/Louis2001 wrote: Thu Nov 04, 2021 2:58 pm I really like the Vertigo VSM and Phil's Cascade. I also recently bought Elysia Karacter, but I'm not able to make it sound good.

90% for saturation/slight excitement of the time Tone Projects Kelvin.
it's just so easy to dial in. Other than that Voxengo Warmifier. Used to use Wavesfactory Spectre, but it's taken a back-seat to Kelvin.
Go to distortion is Voxengo Powershaper. So many juicy flavours.
what's left is done by FabFilter Saturn2. and lampthruster algos in HarmoniEQ

FabFilter Saturn 2. With 6 freely adjustable bands, different saturation types, dynamics, tone control and flexible modulation, I can get everything from barely audible static enhancement to wildly responsive effects. When I feel like I need a new saturation effect, I usually just dig deeper into what Saturn has to offer.

For transparent warmth and loudness, I enjoy Newfangled Saturate, as well as Tritik Flaw.
When it comes to advanced tweakings, Blue Cat Destructor is a beast (and it does subtle very well, too).
Audio Assault Head Crusher 2 is also worth a try.

one of my favorite warming effects is, well two of them are the tape saturation and the cabinets VSL makes for the Synchron Player line.
Gorgeous. They must be modeled, it sure isn't loading samples to call it. sure surprised me to see this:
but can't be any go-to except for that engine.

Loving those UA plugins too. I like some of the unique sonics they both bring. Interesting, Waves drop in Cyber Monday too. Look likes they're entering into the lofi fray too. On sale, predictably, can't really complain about that price though.thecontrolcentre wrote: Sat Nov 06, 2021 7:09 pm Unfiltered Audio LO-FI-AF & Indent2

"Screamer 4"... it's the Reason distortion. But I rarely use it because it is not a vst
