Best FREE VST Instrument Plugins 2020!

The only Ableton stock plugins that I kind of dislike are modulation plugins like Chorus, Flanger and Phaser, the rest varies from adequate to excellent. The Ableton Waveshaper/Saturator is particularly an amazing tool, overall lots of very useful tools in Live. Stuff like Ableton's Operator, Wavetable or Sampler is just downright awesome.

I agree, these are Live's weaker offerings imo. I really rate the Freq Shifter and I use the native Delay 90% of the time because it sounds great and I love having the controls right there in the bottom view I stead of having to open a separate window everytime with third party plugs.

I'm personally not that keen on Operator but Wavetable is great and if I didn't already own Serum and Hive I'd probably use it a bit more.

Logic Pro Retro Synth is one of the best sounding analog emulations IMHO. And then there is Alchemy... All for free for Logic users.

You know what: you're right.

Apologies to @creativesauce. He seems like an enthousiastic and interested musician in his videos. My first response to his post was off-putting and sardonic, mainly because there IS a lot of posts with lists, clickbait-videos and surveys here on KVR, right now. But yeah, I don't HAVE to respond and I don't have to put someone down who make videos out of their own enthousiasm.

Having said that: I love Speedrum Lite and Inear Display's Regressif plugins right now. Great tools for making your own drumkits and creating distorted and industrial/electro drums.

Operator is great if you're really into additive and FM. I can't say I'm fond of Analog, but I've never used it extensively.

Hey man. I pretty much feel out of my depth with synths, it's just not really my thing. But always wanna have an open mind, so I'll check out Fury800.

Any others worth me getting my hands on?

As for Win XP, its a fun proposition. Maybe I'll set up a virtual box and test.

Hey man, it takes great character to apologise, and it's rare, so its 100% accepted, no harm done. There are a number of places I tell people about my videos, and I dont always spend as much time there as I should. So it's a lesson to me, that my genuine enthusiasm could be misunderstood, if I dont take time to get to know people in the community.

Now, you'll never guess what I'm gonna do now......

If you don't mind sitting 15 minutes through a video to know what a thread is about, more power to you.

To me, the OP simply looks like trying to get ad revenue and/or clicks on a video.

...I wouldn't have a problem with it at all. I could make a guess if watching the video might be worth my time. But the whole "bla bla bla, click the video to find out" is simply annoying.

EDIT: Well, I had no problem finding tons of super synths, amazing pianos, awesome guitars, and impressive basses... but not a single "astonishing kazoo". Was that a Babya virtual instrument?

Supersynth A is absolutely overrated. Sounds like some synthedit creation from 2005.
Amazing Piano B is a good pick, though.

I did fill out the survey and downloaded the BBC Orchestra. Have used it quite a bit. What I like about it is that it's easy to use and actually sounds fine if you don't need all the articulations that come with the massive libraries. If I had the money, I'd be tempted to get Core because I like the overall sound of BBC. But the interface is absolutely the best. I wish all the orchestral libraries were laid out like this. Would make life so much easier for me.
