For the Mac plugins, the graphics resources are easily accessed in the package contents. I was already editing them to increase the contrast slightly. I liked Taron's idea to color-code the sections, so I went ahead and did that.
And I liked z.prime's suggestion to make the levers opaque, so I did that as well.
The fit isn't perfect, notably in the Sequencer section, but it's good enough for a quick hack.
It looks like the Windows plugins are opaque DLLs, so I guess this is Mac-only.

I can also provide the non-colorized version of the background, or a Gimp project of the background (layered) if anyone wants to tweak it more to personal taste.

So here's a super crappy first try. Absolutely not an entry. Still trying to figure out how to get some decent percussions.

Gawd tho the anal-log drift thing kills the percs. Can there not just be a thing that turns it off

This is my submission for this month's OSC (hope I don't go back to any further fiddling on the track). I have used 6 instances of Fury 800 to create this track. All patches used in the track are from factory bank which were modified to suit my needs.

For those who wish a color coding:
Copy "back.png" from your fury800.dll, use Angus Johnson's free Resource Hacker.
Paste it in Photoshop or else, make your changes, save it as png and replace the original "back.png" with it.
Or just replace the original pic with this one after you've converted it to png. I did not posted the png because of the upload file size limitation of this forum.

Does anyone know the range of the master TUNE parameter? It sounds less than a semitone. ±50 cents, maybe?

One big trouble with making a kick with fury-800 is that the resonance process happens after all envelopes, but will be cut off by the end of processing of envelopes. As a result you'll get DC offset clicks. If at least the resonance would be allowed to finish up to some audible threshold or the filter envelope itself would control the volume of the final output after resonance or ideally any of the volume envelopes, this would be prevented. Then kicks would be little to no problem at all.
Right now it sort of works, if you simply hold the note until the resonance got finished. Then you can make two or more kick instances to alternate through, if you had quicker kick sequences.
...Not ideal, but it works. And those pure resonance kicks do sound like always or from anywhere. Good!
Funny enough, as I'm playing around with this thing, I also tend to go more into almost orchestral regions. No idea why that is happening...

@Taron - I'm sorta with you - avoiding those clicks is a pain, and then your kicks etc get "sloppy". I find it very hard to get the "punch" you need for a kick, and then, as you say, getting that resonance to sound authentic is painful.
My kick this time round is for a smooth jazzy type of thing (I like to do blues/jazz for FB!). So, the kick drum is not an "in your face" driving thing, but needs to be clear in the mix, not just from the attack though, and this is where I struggle as the body/resonance just gets lost in the mush ...
Got a nice piano so far, so that's good
Looks like a lot of "hissy" percussions -

@elviecho, @dorayaki,
Welcome to the OSC! Nice tracks, I'm always impressed with entries like these that get a good sound with a minimum of synth instances...not like my 30+ entries

Welcome to the challenge. I have seen that one of the plugins you have used does not comply with the rules. Is about Arturia Plate 140 Reverb. I know it has been given free in temporary promotions but not currently, it seems.elviecho wrote: Fri Sep 11, 2020 1:26 pm

The rules state that:
Sure you can easily replace it with a freeware reverb.Effects - what is allowed:
- Most 3rd party plugin effects are allowed ...:
3rd party effects must be easily available freeware: this does not include plug-in betas, demos, magware or freeware that has expired, unless a special exception is made that month.
