Here's the video.
What happened? Worked fine yesterday. No Windows updates since it last functioned correctly.
I have no idea what to do.

Hmm... if I'm not terribly wrong, those tabs are inactive until you click on the main tab at the top of the track inspector. Try that, and see if the stuff below changes/works then.

My first guess if nothing hasn't changed is corrupted Default.xml file.
I would move that to my desktop so Cubase rebuilds a new one...
If that doesn't work, move the whole Cubase Preference folder to your desktop, so let Cubase rebuild it (or at least import it from Cubase 6 if you have that installed).
Hopefully it is one of those two.
Hopefully you know where the preference folders are, I am on my mac right now, but it is in your roaming profile somewhere.

Hi, I don't think so. You should be able to click on any of them.. to open that specific one, regardless if the main one is.chk071 wrote: Tue Sep 08, 2020 1:57 pm Hmm... if I'm not terribly wrong, those tabs are inactive until you click on the main tab at the top of the track inspector. Rebuilding defaults.xml didn't work. I'll go see if I can find preferences. It's not in the same place.zvenx wrote: Tue Sep 08, 2020 2:01 pm My first guess if nothing hasn't changed is corrupted Default.xml file.

In the meantime I will go to my PC and start up Nuendo 6.5 which is the equivalent to Cubase 7.5 I believe....
64 bit version right?
I am on Windows 10 1909. haven't gone to 2004 yet.

No, it's not. The defaults.XML file on my PC on my version of Cubase, is here...zvenx wrote: Tue Sep 08, 2020 2:17 pm Defaults.xml file is in the Preference folder...
So remove that whole folder onto desktop.

Right and that whole folder Cubase 7_64 is the preference folder... It keeps all preferences for Cubase 7 64 bit.
rspOn Windows, preference files are stored in the following location: “\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\<program name>\”.

Ok here is another thing I am confused about.
Your video says Cubase 7.5..... this thread says 7.0 7?
And the folder you refer to above is Cubase 7_65
I believe there should also be a Cubase 7.5_64..... it is that defaults and that folder I refer to if you are indeed having the issue in Cubase 7.5

almost beyond all doubt, delete Cubase preferences is going to sort you. “\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\Cubase 7.07”.
I save my Key Commands, User Preferences (how the Project and Key Editor toolbars are set up) and RAM Presets (several things), and stick 'em back in after
yesterday I had Cubase 10.5 forget that setting tracks to linear time means a Time Warp leaves the data where it is.
It's always somethin'. If it's not one thin' it's another.
