ComboBox is a new feature we're working on for the next version of Unify. It allows connecting plug-ins in ways the main interface does not. It's not like a modular synth, though, because regular plug-ins lack control signals; they have only MIDI and audio in/out.Kalamata Kid wrote: Tue Sep 08, 2020 4:38 am I saw this Combo Box in a video.
Is it a Unify software?
Anything modular interests me.
Unify by PluginGuru; The next big thing?

So, sort of like Bidule or Patcher or Reaktor?getdunne wrote: Tue Sep 08, 2020 1:51 pmComboBox is a new feature we're working on for the next version of Unify. But ComboBox will be integrated into Unify.
It will have virtual midi and audio cables I assume.
I believe I will really

Similar to Bidule or Patcher, which also connect plug-ins. Reaktor is much more powerful, because it works with its own modules (which are not ordinary plug-ins).Kalamata Kid wrote: Tue Sep 08, 2020 2:05 pmSo, sort of like Bidule or Patcher or Reaktor?getdunne wrote: Tue Sep 08, 2020 1:51 pm ComboBox is a new feature we're working on for the next version of Unify. Yes, it will be integrated into Unify, and yes, it has virtual MIDI/audio cables. I hope you do like it!

Can somebody try and test the following on their systems?
Load either JP6K or Viper in Unify.
Open the GUI of the plug-in.
While playing anything (a chord, a melody, whatever...) hover the mouse over the controls (knobs, sliders).
What happens here, as soon as the mouse pointer turns into that hand: lots of crackling or drop outs.
I tested these two Adam Szabo synths in Unify, Cubase 10.5 and in NanoHost.
What I described above only happens in Unify, so I suppose the problem could be related to Unify only.
I am using the latest versions of Unify, JP6K and Viper.
My operating system: Windows 10.

Hi there grdh20 - this is John Lehmkuhl and if you can please contact me thru email at unifysupport@pluginguru.com I will be more than happy to help get Unify working again for you. I don't recognize who I am speaking with from your username or I would have already emailed you a message.
grdh20 wrote: Mon Sep 07, 2020 3:50 pm Still doesn't validate after I got the reset email. There has to be a better way of hiding the auth file other than in a cache folder. I wouldn't have purchased this if I had known registering it would be so much trouble. There has to be a better way!

Fixed. Thanks. I might suggest that the reg file on mac should be stored outside of the cache folder so it doesn't regularly get cleaned out via utilities or OS updates.realkuhl wrote: Tue Sep 08, 2020 10:26 pm Hi there grdh20 - this is John Lehmkuhl and if you can please contact me thru email at unifysupport@pluginguru.com I will be more than happy to help get Unify working again for you. I'm not sure what you mean about the "reg file"; we don't use them. If you're talking about the "New-....xml" file, that's only needed temporarily and gets deleted after it triggers the license-activation procedure.

The whole concept of unify really is quite cool.
A question though if I decide to buy into it, will it still be useful if I decide against purchasing any of PluginGuru's libraries?
Not that I have anything against PluginGuru, on the contrary I regard him as a very highly talented sound designer.
I don't want to be trapped into purchasing content.
A lot of demo's seem to indicate some sort of reliance.

You don’t need any separate libraries to get the base functionality. The only thing those libraries add effectively is more sounds and perhaps some extra pre-rolled midi files or arps you could use in your projects.Dynasty0 wrote: Sat Sep 12, 2020 3:46 pm The whole concept of unify really is quite cool.

I think that is something I would appreciate since their are no demonstrations showing ground zero.
Are their any demos of ground zero?
Thanks for answering WatchTheGuitar I appreciate it.

If you look at videos on PluginGuru’s YT channel when it came out you can see ‘ground zero’, although they keep adding free functionality since that release, but why not just download the fully functional demo and try it out yourself?Dynasty0 wrote: Sat Sep 12, 2020 4:20 pmWhat is the base functionality?WatchTheGuitar wrote: Sat Sep 12, 2020 4:06 pm

As you say they keep adding functionality but to be fair it is not always clear exactly what ground zero is and the ground keeps shifting.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Sat Sep 12, 2020 4:42 pm [

I really like the PluginGuru videos but most of them seem to refer to content of his past libraries.
I am at this point very confused.
Things that confuse me further are in the inclusion of Free vst such as BlueArp and other such things that presumably other authors give away for free. But not all things are for free.
