Looks sleek. Was expecting a Maschine hardware announcement this month after they removed Maschine Studio from the store recently. Happy with my Mikro MK3 here, but wondering if there is a new version of Maschine Studio that will be announced soon or has it been discontinued altogether now?

The question is ... if I buy this will I have to pay again for any ported software and expansion packs that I already own in Komplete Ultimate 12 CE and Maschine MK III beyond the bundled stuff which is already included in this new rig?

So how do the plugins - FM8, Monark, etc. - work on it? Are they just sampled, or can one actually do some actual synthesis on them? Hard to find any concrete info about it...

i think they will be full functional, i guess about the interface, it will maybe be just a clever maschine control assigment + the current maschine vst short view (btw i didn't like default assigment for fm8 and massive)

Also I think of a hardware module with classic NI synths. Pretty cool if you ask me. And second life for Massive (which is ageing pretty well and found a good place for "retirement hobby")

Obviously, because that's not taken into account. Nothing can be done about the bundled stuff.

I bought an MPC Live because I got sick of issues Maschine had with time signatures. The MPC also has issues with time signatures in stand alone, so I'm selling it. Maschine's sequencer to this day still has only one time signature. Until they solve this, I can't be bothered with hardware versions really. In general we would have to see some drastic improvements to the song timeline for this to be a workable solution.

What makes this appealing maybe in the future if they fix that though is if it includes Reaktor and Kontakt in there. If you have a full fledged sampler, and Reaktor in stand alone, and you have no real need for a computer for sure. Add in a simple transition kit for U-He, Arturia etc. to port their synths to stand alone and this could be a monster.

One can dream, it would be a pretty cool world where NI made a Linux OS like Akai did for MPC, that unlike Akai allowed VSTs to be ported, and everything was integrated in the hardware in a way that made workflow faster than a PC, not just 'different'.

NI abandoning it.

Even though I'm quite used to people burying their heads into the sand over everything. Kind of a disease in wealthy paradise like conditions.

Just ask yourself how many devices NI built in their history, and how many have been "abandoned" (even though that's kind of a stretch anyway... I'm sure people find reasons for claiming something got abandonded no matter what).

BTW, your main DAW has been abandoned. Tee-hee.

Suffice to say, you're defending the wrong part of NI, they're as guilty of slash and burn policies in terms of hardware, and in the past software, as Apple are. There's no real argument contrary to be made.

Did you or anyone else notice that Maschine+ is officially announced?

Massive is included in stand alone, looking to see what else might be. I'm already certain my hopes of Reaktor in there are dashed, but one can dream.
