In downtown Denver there is a building complex owned by Wells Fargo. There's a public dining area underneath a glass enclosure that is several stories high and rounded at the top. (designed to resemble an old-time cash register) One time I was eating lunch there on a quiet day and the scraping of my chair against the floor produced this amazing echo. I immediately thought that if I could kick everyone out and bring in a quality recording setup, I could generate some amazing impulses. Are there any places you would like to generate IRs from?
Even if the piano player can't play, keep the party going.
