I just got all set up with Amplitube on my iPad so I can use the new Satriani collection Rockman model to gig with and not wear out my actual Rockman X100.

But the output signal is mono!! That right there kills the entire point of this.

Currently I’m using the Apple Lightning to USB 3 adapter to power both my iPad and my Yamaha AG03 interface. Regular audio like music and stuff goes out stereo but Amplitube doesn’t. Whether my output is the interface or headphone jack, Amplitube is mono.

Have I just wasted my money? Will getting an iRig HD 2 let me output in the true stereo that the Rockman has? Do I need to make some kind of in-app purchases to unlock stereo output?

Anybody?

Let's try to draw attention from someone that might be of actual help:

The iRig HD 2 will output a mono signal to your amp through 1/4" plug.
It does output in stereo through a 1/8" headphone jack.

Ah ok. Still dumb that it won’t output stereo through a perfectly capable Yamaha interface.

Hopefully Peter can stop by and either bless or curse the verdict.

He came today, he posted an IK Multimedia sale in the thread right beside this one, and left without helping out eicca.

It didn't work.

Well drat. Guess I’ll see if a local guitar shop has an iRig and will let me plug in my phone and instrument and test it before I purchase.

Another attempt to summon Peter:

Maybe a second quote in a post does not let PhpBb make a notification.

AmpliTube iOS will output stereo regardless of the connected interface (As long as you connect both speakers :p). If you check your Mixer, there are pan options which can help make sure the panning is working. There is no paid option to convert any gear to stereo.

No such dice. I manipulate the pan knobs in the mixer and everything still comes out mono. No change.

EDIT: Had a bum connection to my headphones. Now the pan knobs work, but still no stereo chorus effect. I can set both outputs to channel 1 and pan them left and right independently, but cannot run the Boston 100 modeler on both simultaneously.

Not being able to get stereo output kinda ruins the point of the Boston 100 modeler.
