Highest quality acoustic sounds in the smallest packages (similar to Roland SRX)

Hello! I am looking to replace a potential upcoming hardware purchase with sampled instruments.

I already have Xpand2 VST and have demoed Triton and Roland stuff etc. They all seem to have too much stuff I will not need and is overly bloated and I can also make gazillion synth sounds anyways.

I am mostly interested in acoustic instruments, bass, pianos, brass, strings, horns/flutes and choirs for example.

It seems the Roland SRX are quite neat but the size may be a little bit to big (has some cheesy stuff in them) and the cloud protection is a no no for me.

Can you please point me to places where I can find the very best in the most compact packages? I believe things don't have to be gigabytes to be excellent.

I checked UVI briefly but not sure if this is the right place to start (seemed pretty big and hefty).

Thanks!

You may also check Sound Magic for different kinds of instruments. They uses Hybrid Modelling technology so the size is much smaller than sample libraries. Below is the link

Hi thanks for your response. This is actually great stuff! Exactly what I am looking for. I can't seem to find more of the orchestral sounds but this is a great start. Thanks so much

Full free orchestra. Play the various instruments with the Sforzando SFZ player.

This is great thanks so much for the link. The SFZ plug is a bit tedious in terms browsing the files but the samples are of very good quality. Cheers!

If you're also looking for band instruments that don't use much RAM, there are lots of other files on http://www.bandshed.net/sounds/sfz/

For acoustic piano, try LittleLizardPiano. Electric pianos include stereo_rhodes and wurz. nbb_synths will get you synth strings and brass. nbb_organs will give you some organ patches as well as some folk instruments like harmonica and accordian. nbb_basses yields a variety of basses, and nbb_guitars includes electric, steel, and nylon.
